CRD: August's Monthly Make - Vintage Age

Here is my final card for  August's Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs (I know it is a little late but we have got there in the end!). I hope you agree this set is a real go to set for sentiments not to mention the calendar set that has been thrown in too!





Materials

  • August's Stamp Pack, Ed's Plane or Plane from December's 2015 stamp pack.
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Memento:- Desert Sand, Toffee Crunch.
  • Peeled Paint, Brushed Corduroy.
  • Green checked ribbon, two green buttons, green cord.
  • Small Square White card,Green and White card.
  • Double sided tape, glue, 3D foam pads and 3D glue
  • Craft tools.

How to make
1) Stamp the numbers onto the front of the white card using Desert Sand, and distress the edges using Peeled Paint.
2) onto a piece of white card stamp the Life sentiment and the plane using Toffee Crunch, cut out and distress the edges of the sentiment and all the plane using Brushed Corduroy.
3) Mount the sentiment onto a 6cm x 9cm piece of green card and the plane also onto green card using double sided tape or glue, cut out the plane leaving a narrow border.
4) Adhere two pieces of ribbon across the bottom of the card using double sided tape, using 3D foam pads adhere the sentiment to the bottom left corner, and the plane across the top right, tie green cord through the buttons and 3D glue to the ribbon.

CRD: August's Monthly Make - It's all about colour......

This card i have made using  August's Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs it is so easy to do but I love how it has turned out!



Materials

  • August's stamp pack, Numbers from December's stamp pack.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Tuxedo Black, Lady Bug. 
  • Distress Ink:- Mustard Seed, Fired Brick, Chipped Sapphire.
  • Blue ribbon, Glossy accent.
  • A5 Pale gray card, blue and pale gray card.
  • Double sided tape, glue and 3D foam pads.
  • Craft tools.

How to make
1) Cut a 13.8cm x 20cm piece of blue card and a 12.8cm x 19cm piece of pale gray card, centrally adhere the piece of blue card to the front of the pale gray A5 card using double sided tape or glue.
2) Onto a stamp base stamp Mustard Seed spritz with water, and stamp centre right onto the pale gray card, repeat using the Chipped Sapphire above and the Fired Brick below, (you may wish to blot over if it's very wet using a piece of kitchen roll) when dry stamp over with the number stamp using the same colours, using Mustard Seed stamp 50 to the right of the mustard seed stamp.
3) Stamp the Life sentiment onto pale gray card the words using Tuxedo Black and the border using Lady Bug, cut out and distress the edges using Fired Brick, mount onto a 6cm x 9cm piece of blue card using double sided tape or glue.
4) Adhere a piece of ribbon down the left side of the pale gray piece of card and centrally adhere to the front of the card using double sided tape or glue, using 3D foam pads adhere the sentiment to the bottom left corner, knot a piece of ribbon above it and glossy accent the 50.

CRD: August's Monthly Make - The brown and cream one.

 As always I HAD to make a brown and cream card using August's Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs. So here it is.......


Materials
  • August's Stamp Pack.
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Memento:- Rich Cocoa
  • Brushed Corduroy. 
  • Brown Ribbon, Number Die.
  • 7inch Cream card, Coffee/White Spot and Cream card.
  • Double sided tape, glue and 3D glue.
  • Craft tools.
How to Make
1) Cut a 6.5inch x 6.5inch piece of coffee/white spot card distress the edges using brushed corduroy.
2) Cut six 1.4cm x 12cm pieces of cream card and a 5.5cm x 5.5cm piece of cream card and round off from the bottom right to top left corners to make part of a circle ( I do not have a die big enough) distress the edges as before and adhere to the bottom left corner of the spot card using double sided tape or glue.
3) Adhere a piece of ribbon on an angle across the top right corner, centrally adhere to the cream card using double sided tape or glue.
4) From the Age sentiment stamp one line, Age, is just a ,Number and Happy and Birthday onto the centre of a cream strip using Rich Cocoa, trim down to make different length round off the bottom edge and cut the top on an angle distress the edges using Brushed Corduroy.
5) Adhere to the bottom left too look like sun rays starting with the line, die cut 65th from the spot card distress as before shape, using 3D glue adhere to the bottom left of the card, tie a bow to the ribbon.

CRD: August's Monthly Make - Spotty Dotty

For this card I made using August's Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs I teamed it up with June's Daisy Flower set but you could use any flower you want.


Materials

  • August's Stamp Pack, Outline Flower and Leaf from June's Stamp Pack.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Grape Jelly.
  • Dusty Concord.
  • White Chiffon Ribbon, Three Purple Card Candies.
  • Small Square White card, purple/ white spot, white and purple card.
  • Double sided tape, glue, 3D foam pads and 3D glue.
  • Craft tools.

How to Make
1) Cut a 13.8cm x 13.8cm piece of purple/ white spot card, and an 11.5cm x 11.5cm piece of white card, cut the white piece of card from the top left to the bottom right corner, onto the bottom left corner piece stamp vertically stamp Happy Birthday across it and stamp the numbers in the top right corner using Grape Jelly, distress the edges using Dusty Concord.
2) Centrally adhere the purple/white spot piece of card to the front of the white card, then the two stamped triangles leaving a space down the middle from the top left to the bottom right corner, using double sided tape or glue.
3) Stamp the outline flower and leaf twice onto white card using Grape Jelly, cut out and distress using Dusty Concord then shape, stamp the Age sentiment onto 5.5cm x 4.4cm piece of white card using Grape Jelly, distress the edges as before, mount onto purple card leaving a narrow border.
4) Attach a folded piece of ribbon to the back of the sentiment and using 3D foam pads adhere 2.5cm down and in from the top left corner, using 3D glue adhere the flower and two leaves in the top left corner, add a card candie to the centre of the flower and one in the top right and bottom left corners using 3D glue or 3D foam pads.

CRD: August's Monthly Make - Forget your age!

I am loving the Birthday Greetings stamp set from this Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs it is just so versatile and makes fantastically quick cards.



Materials

  • August's stamp pack.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:-Tuxedo Black, Teal Zeal.
  • Distress Inks:- Stormy Sky.
  • Black chiffon ribbon.
  • 8inch square white card, turquoise, black and white card.
  • Double sided tape, glue 3D foam pads.
  • Craft tools 

How to Make:
1) Cut a 18.8cm x 18.8cm piece of turquoise card.
2) Cut a 7cm x 18cm piece of white card and alternately stamp the two Happy Birthdays across it starting in different places using Teal Zeal, distress the edges using Stormy Sky, centrally adhere to the left side of the turquoise piece of card using double sided tape or glue,
3) Cut a 10.5cm x 8.5cm piece of white card, have the piece landscape and stamp numbers over it using Teal Zeal, distress the edges as before, and adhere to the bottom right corner using double sided tape or glue.
4) Attach a piece of black chiffon ribbon centrally across the top space on the turquoise card, centrally adhere to the white card using double sided tape or glue.
5) Onto white card stamp the Life sentiment using Tuxedo Black for the words and Teal Zeal for the border, cut out and distress the edges using Stormy Sky, mount onto a 6cm x 9cm piece of black card using double sided tape or glue, centrally adhere to the top right of the over the ribbon using 3D foam pads, knot a piece of ribbon to the left side.

CRD: August's Monthly Make - Simple but effective.....

The Monthly Make has been going for a whole 12 months can you believe it? were has the time gone!

So this month Kym has gone a little crazy and put together a massive stamp set! Well, she also took over this months main project too, so this month I have just got to play with the basic stamp set (Birthday Greetings) and not the bonus one (calendar months) too!

So here is my first card using this months Birthday Greetings Stamp Set, it is so simple to do and the colours could be changed, but it makes a great card.


Materials

August's Stamp Pack.
Stamp bases.
Memento:- Tuxedo Black, London Fog.
Red ribbon, Two black card candies.
White DL card, white, black and red card. 
Double sided tape, glue and 3D foam pads.
Craft tools.

How to Make
1) Cut a piece of black card a little smaller than the front of the white DL card, and a piece of white card a little smaller than the black piece of card.
2) Using London Fog onto the white piece of card working down the left side stamp the numbers longways down from the top leave a gap stamp the numbers again, working down the right side leave a gap stamp the numbers leave a gap stamp the numbers again.
3) Attach two pieces of ribbon across the top of the white piece of card, centrally adhere to the black piece of card, then onto the white DL card using double sided tape or glue.
4) Stamp the Age sentiment onto white card using Tuxedo Black trim down, mount first onto red card then onto black card, using double sided tape or glue.
5) Adhere on an angle to the bottom of the of card using 3D foam pads. With a black card candie  to the right side of the ribbon also using 3D foam pads.

CRD: Julys' Monthly Make - Happy Birthday

I don't normally get any instructions when I am handed my stamps sets, but, my instructions were really clear for July "it's a Christmas Special!" but doesn't the reindeer work well as a birthday card!!!!

So here is Birthday card I made using Julys' Christmas special Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs and the Weathered Happy Birthday stamp too.


Materials

  • July's stamps, Happy Birthday stamp.
  • Stamp bases. 
  • Memento:- Rich Cocoa, Northern Pine.
  • Distress ink:- Brushed Corduroy.
  • Green checked ribbon.
  • Square Cream 8inch card, brown, cream and green card.
  • Double sided tape, glue.
  • Craft tools.
How to Make
1) Cut apiece of brown card a little smaller than the front of the square cream card, and a piece of cream card a little smaller than the brown piece.
2) Stamp a row of fir tree across the bottom of the cream piece, and second generation stamp a second row between them using Northern Pine for the branches and Rich Cocoa for the trunk and ground.
3) Attach two pieces of ribbon across the bottom of the fir trees, centrally adhere to the brown piece of card then onto the cream square card, using double sided tape or glue.
4) Cut a 3.8cm x 12.8cm piece of brown card and make shallow points to each end, stamp the cogs from the reindeers back along the two long sides using Rich Cocoa, centrally adhere to the top of the card using double sided tape or glue,
5) Cut a 1.5cm x 13.8cm piece of cream card, stamp Happy to the left clean and let the stamp dry then stamp Birthday using Rich Cocoa, edge with Brushed Corduroy, cut a 14.5cm x 2.2cm piece of green card, centrally adhere the cream piece to the green then across the centre of the brown piece on the top of the card using double sided tape or glue.
6) Stamp the reindeer onto a 7.6cm x 8cm piece of cream card using Rich Cocoa and edge with Brushed Corduroy, mount onto a 8.4cm x 8.8cm piece of green card then onto a 9.2cm x 9.6cm piece of brown card, using double sided tape or glue.
7) Adhere in the bottom right corner using double sided tape or glue, knot a piece of ribbon to each piece of ribbon.

CRD: Julys' Monthly Make - Bob Robbin.

When Kym designed the reindeer she also designed a little Robin called Bob Robin, so for this card I have use Bob along with Julys' Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs.


Materials

  • July's Stamps, Robin Stamp.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento;- Rich Cocoa, Northern Pine, Rhubarb Stalks.
  • Versamark stamp pad, Fran-tage aged taupe embossing powder, heat tool.
  • Tim Holtz Holiday Greens Die 658759, oval die.
  • Red narrow ribbon, small black gem.
  • 6 inch DK green card, cream, green card.
  • Double sided tape, Glue and 3D foam pads.
  • Craft tools.

How to Make
1) Cut a piece of cream card a little smaller than the front of the green card, using an oval die cut away part of the two sides, using the Versamark pad ink around the edges and sprinkle over the embossing powder tap off the access and heat with the heat tool until set.
2) Attach a piece of ribbon 2.5cm from the top and bottom of the piece of card, 
3) Onto the front of the green card stamp two trees down each side using Northern Pine, centrally adhere the cream cut out piece of card to this using double sided tape or glue.
4) Stamp the sentiment onto cream card using Rich Cocoa, cut out and emboss the edges as before, attach over the top ribbon using 3D foam pads,
5) Stamp the Robin onto cream card using Rich Cocoa and Rhubarb Stalks the Breast, cut out and glue over the branches.
6) The sentiment needed more! Simple I stamped the W using versamark embossed as before cut it out glued it over the top of the other, no need to throw it out now.

CRD: July's Monthly Make - Winter Wishes

Just to prove this stamp set works well in any colour scheme here's my regular brown and beige offering lol! made using Julys' Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs.



Materials

  • July's stamps.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Rich Cocoa.
  • Brown glitter glue.
  • A5 Cream card, brown and cream card.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools

How to Make
1) Cut a piece of brown card a little smaller than the front of the cream A5 card, and a piece of cream card a little smaller than the brown piece, centrally adhere the brown piece to the cream A5 card using double sided tape or glue.
2) Onto the piece of cream card stamp the sentiment in the top left corner, stamp a row of fir trees under it working lower on the left and higher to the right using Rich Cocoa, using the edge of a stamp base add some tufts of grass around the trees also using Rich Cocoa, centrally adhere to the front of the cream card using double sided tape or glue.
3) stamp the reindeer onto cream card using Rich Cocoa, cut out and mount onto brown card cut out leaving a narrow border, glue to the bottom right corner of the card.
4) Add glitter glue to the trees and ground.

CRD: Julys' Monthly Make - Snow flurries

Another blue and white I am afraid but I just works so well with July's Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs!


Materials
July's Stamps
Stamp bases
Memento;- London Fog.
Tim Holtz On the Edge Snow Flurries Die 656920.
Silver glitter glue.
Blue ribbon.
A5 white card, pale blue and white card. 
Double sided tape, Glue.
Craft tools.

How to Make
1) Cut a piece of blue card a little smaller than front of the A5 white card, centrally adhere the front of the White card using double sided tape or glue.
2) Cut a piece of white card a little smaller than the blue piece of card, cut a 5.5cm piece off from the top and die cut the snow flurries, attach a piece of ribbon across the top and centrally adhere to the top of the blue piece of card using double sided tape or glue.
3) With the short sided across the top and bottom, stamp the reindeer in the centre at the bottom with a tree on each side, (just stamping the trunk not the ground line) using London Fog, roughly cut away around the tops of the trees and the reindeer.
4) Place onto the card to work out where to stamp the sentiment, remove and stamp the sentiment using London Fog.
5) Centrally adhere to the bottom of the blue piece of card using double sided tape or glue, add sliver glitter glue to the snow flurries, fir trees and ground.

CRD: Monthly Make - Another blue and white one

I think I am stuck on blues and whites for this months Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs. I think  the colours just work so well with this stamp set.



Materials

  • July's Stamps
  • Stamp bases
  • Memento;- London Fog.
  • Tim Holtz On the Edge Snow Flurries Die 656920.
  • Silver glitter glue.
  • Blue ribbon.
  • A5 white card, pale blue and white card. 
  • Double sided tape, Glue.
  • Craft tools.


How to make
1) Cut a piece of blue card a little smaller than front of the A5 white card, centrally adhere the front of the White card using double sided tape or glue.
2) Cut a piece of white card a little smaller than the blue piece of card, cut a 5.5cm piece off from the top and die cut the snow flurries, attach a piece of ribbon across the top and centrally adhere to the top of the blue piece of card using double sided tape or glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Square Reindeer

Well, I think I have finally handed all my creations to Kym for her shows on Hochanda though looking at the stacks of samples she has already I think they will need a bigger studio to fit them all in!! She has had a few of us working with the new sets and everyone has got carried away they are fabulous sets and so versatile. So please if you are free Thursday at 10am or 5pm please pop on a cuppa and tune in to Hochanda I know they will be fabulous shows!

Anyway enough about Thursday let's look at this months Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs. I think one will be one of my Christmas cards this year. I hope you like it too.....




Materials

  • July's Stamps, Christmas Greetings stamp set.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Rich Cocoa, Bamboo Leaves.
  • Distress ink:- Stormy Sky, Peeled Paint.
  • Small square mask with round blank centre which can be cut out.
  • Brown Ribbon.
  • Small Square white card, red, white and cream card.
  • Double sided tape, Glue, low tack tape.
  • Craft Tools.


How to make
1) Cut a piece of red card a little smaller than the front of the square white card. 
2) Attach the mask to the white card using low tack tape, distress over it using Stormy Sky, cut out the centre and trim so it's a little smaller than the red piece, trim away the centre of the red piece so it can not be seen under the White piece cut out centre.
3) Over stamp the fir tree onto the centre front of the square white card using Bamboo Leaves so they can be seen through the cut out centre of the masked piece.
4) Attach a piece of brown ribbon down the left side of the masked piece of card, centrally adhere to the red piece of card then onto the White square card using double sided tape or glue.
5) Stamp the reindeer onto cream card and Christmas Wishes onto white card using Rich Cocoa, cut out the reindeer and glue onto bottom right corner, cut around the Christmas Wishes adhere to red card and cut out leaving a narrow border adhere to the top left corner over the ribbon using double sided tape or glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Elegant....

So, this is my last card for this month using June's Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs. I have had so much fun with this set it is just really simply but elegant.

Talking of different I have just put the finishing touches on July's makes and all I can say is WOW! Kym won't let me share any pic's but just have a look at Bob Robin and you will get the idea for July's make.

Anyway back to the card...


Materials

  • June's Stamp Pack. 
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Tuxedo Black, London Fog.
  • Silver glitter glue, Silver edge chiffon ribbon.
  • Basket weave embossing folder.
  • A5 black card, white and black card.
  • Double sided tape, glue, 3D glue. 
  • Craft tools.

How to make:
1) Cut a piece of white card a little smaller than the front of the black A5 card, randomly stamp the solid flower and leaf and over stamp with the outline stamps both using London Fog.
2) Emboss a piece of black card, and tear along three sides ( approx 13cm x 9cm) adhere 4cm up from the bottom of the card, with the straight edge to the left of the card using double sided tape or glue, adhere a piece of ribbon over the black embossed piece of card and centrally adhere to the black A5 card.
3) Onto white card stamp six solid flowers and five solid leaves using London Fog, and over stamp with the outline stamps using Tuxedo Black, cut out and shape.
4) Adhere three of the flowers to the bottom left corner of the black embossed card, line the other three up over the top with the leaves using 3D glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - The brown and cream one

Well, it's wouldn't be a Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs if I didn't do a card in my colours...


Materials

  • June's stamp set.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Rich Cocoa, Peanut Brittle.
  • Script embossing folder.
  • Brown glitter glue, cream ribbon.
  • A5 Cream card, brown and cream card.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools.
How to make: 
1) Cut a piece of brown card a little smaller than the front of the cream A5 card, and a piece of cream card a little smaller than the brown.
2) Onto the ream piece of card stamp the stem without words in the bottom right corner using Rich Cocoa, stamp the solid flower and two leaves using Peanut Brittle and over stamp with the outline stamps using Rich Cocoa, starting with the solid flower repeat working down from the top left corner, stamp the sentiment stem on an angle into the bottom left corner using Rich Cocoa.
3) Cut three 3.5cm x 4.5cm different shades of brown card and emboss them, adhere a piece of ream ribbon to them one across the top, middle and bottom, adhere the top ribbon in the top right corner, bottom ribbon in bottom left corner, the Middle one in the middle on the left side of the card, using double sided tape or glue.
4) Using the edge of a stamp base stamp some lines in the spaces along the edges of the left side of the card.
5) Centrally adhere first to the brown piece of card then onto the cream A5 card using double sided tape or glue, knot a piece of ribbon to each of the brown pieces of card

CRD: Monthly Make - Splash of colour

Well, I bet you thought I had forgot to post the rest of this months makes using  Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs! Well I had!Whoops! Shall we blame it on the grandkids, good weather or just old age? you take your pick.

I had the shock of my life in just over 3 weeks school finishes for the summer!!! Where does the time go. So this card is a perfect one for a quick thank you card for the end of term....


Materials

  • June's stamp set.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Tuxedo Black.
  • Blue, Yellow, Red, Purple, Green, Brown water colour or distress inks, paint brush.
  • A5 Black card, white water colour card.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools.

How to make
1) Cut a piece of white card smaller than the front of the black A5 card.
2) Working down from the top of the card work a splash of each colour across the card.
3) When dry stamp the sentiment stem, outline flower head, two outline leaves and a outline tuft of grass over the colours using Tuxedo Black.
4) Centrally adhere to the A5 black card using double sided tape or glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - In the pink....

So I might have gone a little pink on this card I made using this months Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs. And I have even done a little re-purposing too....


Materials
  • June's stamp pack.
  • Stamp Bases. Memento:- Tuxedo Black Rhubarb Stalk.
  • Distress Ink:- Aged Mahogany.
  • Narrow black ribbon, 2 black buttons, black cord, hole punch.
  • Dark red glitter, toning mesh fruit net, ( from plums )
  • Dottie/ snow embossing folder.
  • 8inch square white with corners cutout, deep pink backing paper, white and burgundy card.
  • Double sided tape, glue, 3D glue, 3D foam pads.
  • Craft tools

How to make
1) cut a piece of pink backing papers little smaller than the front of the white card and  shape the corners. Distress the edges using Aged Mahogany.
2) Cut an 8cm x 18cm piece of white card and randomly second generation stamp the solid flower and leaf using Rhubarb Stalk, and over stamp with the outline stamps also using Rhubarb Stalk, distress the edges using Aged Mahogany.
3) Onto burgundy card stamp two solid flowers and a leaf using Rhubarb Stalk and over stamp with the outline stamps using Tuxedo Black, cut out and shape.
4) Emboss a 12cm x 6.5cm piece of white card, trim and punch a hole in it to look like a tag, distress using Aged Mahogany, adhere the flowers and leaf to the straight end using 3D glue, thread two pieces of ribbon through the hole.
5) Leave the net in one piece and trim the length to 16cm, adhere a narrow folded piece of pink backing paper to one short end to hold it in place, punch in two holes and thread through some ribbon leave to hang down, centrally adhere the stamped piece of card 2cm in on the left of the pink backing paper, with the paper on the net 1.5cm down the left side using double sided tape or glue.
6) Thread the cord through the two buttons and adhere over the net on the right side of the card using 3D glue, adhere the tag on an angle to the bottom of the card using 3D foam pads add glitter glue to the centre swirls on the burgundy flowers.

CRD: Monthly Make - All about the background....

For this next card made using this months Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs I used the stems of the flower to create the background and I think it turn out quite well...


Materials
  • June's stamp pack.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Grape Jelly, Rose Bud.
  • Distress Ink:- Dusty Concord.
  • 7 inch square white card, Purple and white card.
  • Purple chiffon ribbon.
  • Double sided tape, glue 3D glue.
  • Craft tools.
How to make

1) Cut a 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch square piece of purple card (it looks black in the photo!), and a piece of white card a little smaller than the purple piece.
2) Onto the White piece of card stamp the sentiment stem three times across the card top, bottom and middle using Grape Jelly, and the stem without words in between them using Rose Bud, with the solid leaf also in Rose Bud along the stem stamped in Rose Bud.
3) Distress around the edges using Dusty Concord, attach a piece of ribbon down the left side, and centrally adhere first to the purple piece of card then onto the white base card using double sided tape or glue.
4) Onto white card stamp four solid flowers using Rose Bud and over stamp with the outline stamp using Grape Jelly, stamp five both the solid and outline stamps using Grape Jelly, cut them all out and shape.
5) Adhere one flower in the bottom left corner and a second on top with it's petals between the bottom ones add three leaves, do the same in the top right corner with other flowers and two leaves using 3D glue, knot a piece of ribbon above the left flower.

CRD: Monthly Make - Perfectly Purple

Well I had so much fun playing with this months Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs. I know Kym designed this set to be used as a thank you set but I just love the plain stem!

This first one I have teamed up with my favourite die ...


Materials
  • June's stamp set
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Grape Jelly, Tuxedo Black.
  • Distress Ink:- Dusty Concorde, stencil brush,
  • Tim Holtz Mix Media Dies.
  • Purple glitter glue, toning ribbon.
  • A5 white card, purple, white and scrap card and paper.
  • Double sided tape, glue, 3D glue and low tac tape.
  • Craft tools


How to make
1) Cut a piece of purple card a little smaller than the front of the White A5 card, and a piece of white card smaller than the purple card.
2) From a scrap piece of card die cut the open work corner to make a stencil, place over the bottom left corner of the white piece of card hold in place with low tac tape,using Dusty Concorde with a stencil brush work over the stencil remove the stencil, place a piece of paper over it while you die cut the top right corner.
3) Stamp the solid flower head in the top centre of the space between the die cut and stencil using Grape Jelly, stamp the stem without words also using Grape Jelly, and over stamp the flower with the outline stamp using Tuxedo Black, second generation stamp part of the solid flower twice in the top left and bottom right corners, and over stamp with the outline stamp also second generation both using Grape Jelly.
4) Attach a piece of ribbon across the top left and bottom right corners, centrally adhere first to the piece of purple then onto the White A5 card using double sided tape or glue.
5) Onto white card stamp two solid flowers and leaves using Grape Jelly, and over stamp with the outline stamps using Tuxedo Black, cutout and shape, adhere a flower over the centre flower and two leaves on the stem, with a flower in the bottom right corner using 3D glue, add glitter glue to the centre swirl on the two shaped flowers.

CRD: Monthly Make - Sentiments Only

This is the last card for this months Monthly Make From Crafty Roo Designs. I have had a fabulous time playing with this stamp set, I wanted to do one card that didn't use the balloon!!!! 

And here it is .....


Materials

  • May's Monthly Make
  • Memento:- Rich Cocoa.
  • Narrow brown check ribbon, 3.8cm wide medium brown ribbon.
  • Small cream square card, brown and cream card.
  • Double sided tape, glue and 3D foam pads.
  • Craft tools.

How to Make
1) Cut a piece of brown 1cm smaller than the front of square cream card, and a piece of cream card a little smaller than the brown card.
2) Using Rich Cocoa stamp Dad across the bottom of the cream piece of card, and stamp two first class circles and a square sentiment onto cream card using Rich Cocoa.
3) Cut out the sentiment and mount onto a piece of brown card with a narrow border using double sided tape or glue, cut out the two circle with a cream border ( about 3.5cm).
4) Attach the check ribbon 2.5cm down from the top of the cream piece of card, with the wide ribbon in the middle of Dad and the checked ribbon using double sided tape or glue, centrally adhere first to the piece of brown card then onto the cream card using double sided tape or glue.
5) Knott a piece of check ribbon to ribbon across the top, using 3D foam pads adhere the sentiment to the middle of the wide ribbon, using glue adhere a first class circle to each side of the sentiment.

CRD: Monthly Make - Milk Carton

The Hot Air Balloon from this months Monthly Make makes brilliant backgrounds! I have used it to help create this milk carton.



Materials

  • May's Monthly Make Stamp Set and  Tall Dad stamp.
  • Memento:- London Fog, Danube Blue.
  • Light Grey and blue card.
  • Blue ribbon, 2 bottle tops.
  • Hole Punch and glossy accent.
  • Double sided tape, glue and foam pads.
  • Craft tools.
  • The milk carton was cut from a 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch piece of light grey card.
How to Make
1) Randomly stamp the balloon and birds onto a piece of light grey card using London Fog, use a template or die cut out a milk carton with 2 inch wide sides, make up using glue.
2) Stamp two each of the first class circles, sentiments and Dad only from the how Tall stamp onto blue card using Danube blue.
3) Cut out Dad and the sentiments, first mount onto light grey then onto blue card with narrow borders using double sided tape or glue.
4) Cut out the two first class circles to fit inside the bottle tops, adhere inside the bottle tops using foam pads,
5) Apply glossy accent to the Dad's and the inside of the bottle tops, leave flat to dry.
6) Punch holes in the top of the milk carton thread ribbon through knot and tie a bow, adhere a Dad to the top front and back just under the ribbon, with the sentiment on an angle below, and a bottle cap on each side using a strong double sided tape or glue.
