CRD: Monthly Make - Dream

For this card I have teamed January's Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs  up with the Lovely Lizzie and Build Your Own Sentiments Dream as seen on Hochanda. Don't they work well together!

This is the last card for January but pop back soon as I will be up to my neck making samples for the next Hochanda show on the 19th! Kym has designed two fabulous new stamp sets!


Materials
  • January's card pack.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand.
  • Small square cream card, cream and gold card.
  • Gold chiffon ribbon, Iced Gold stickles.
  • Small diamond embossing folder sizzix.
  • Double sided tape or glue, 3D glue.
  • Craft tools.
How to make
1) Cut a piece of gold card a little smaller than the front of the cream square card, and a piece of cream card a little smaller than the gold card.
2) Emboss the top of the piece of cream card, leaving 3cm at the bottom plain, centrally stamp Dream in that space using Rich Cocoa.
3) Attach a piece of ribbon 1.5cm in down the left side hold in place on the back with tape, centrally adhere to the gold card then onto the cream card using double sided tape or glue.
4) Onto cream card stamp two medium outline Lizzie, four small outline Lizzie and two outline leaves using Rich Cocoa, cut out and scrunch up.
5) Stamp the solid butterfly using Desert Sand onto cream card, and over stamp with the outline stamp using Rich Cocoa, cut out and glue onto gold card, cut out leaving a narrow border of gold,
6) Adhere the butterfly to the top right and the flowers just above Dream to the left, (two flowers to each flower) using 3D glue, add glitter glue to the centres of the flowers.

CRD: Monthly Make - Butterfly Flowers

So once I had made the hearts using January's Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs the flowers were easy to do. 



Materials

  • January's card pack. 
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Tuxedo Black.
  • 7inch square white card, black, white and silver card, black striped backing paper.
  • White chiffon ribbon, two black card Candi , crystal stickles.
  • Fern die or punch.
  • Double sided tape or glue, 3D glue or foam pads.
  • Craft tools.
How to make
1) Stamp the sentiment in the bottom right corner of the 7inch white card, using Tuxedo Black.
2) Onto white card stamp the outline butterfly twice, place the two curved border pieces onto a stamp base, so it looks like a heart and stamp it six times using Tuxedo Black.
3) Cut out the two butterfly's and six heart's, glue one butterfly to silver card and cut out, add stickles to all the pieces and leave to dry ( in certain light it looks green on the black ink).
4) Cut a 6.5inch x 5inch piece of backing paper adhere it to a piece of black with a narrow border, using double sided tape or glue, attach a piece of white ribbon across the top hold it in place on the back with tape, centrally adhere to the top of the card using double side tape or glue.
5) Attach the butterfly on an angle to the right side of the backing paper using tape or glue, shape the other butterfly and attach over the top using 3D glue, in the bottom corner 3D glue the hearts in threes to form a flower,
6) Knot a piece of ribbon to the left side of the ribbon, punch or die cut three fern leaves and attach around the flower, add a card Candi to the centre and one over the knot using 3D glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Butterfly Hearts

When I saw January's Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs and looked at the border stamps all I could see was a heart!

So here it is ......



Materials

  • January's card pack.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Distress inks:- Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools.
  • A5 white card, turquoise and white card, toning patterned backing paper.
  • Turquoise ribbon 1cm.


How to make
1) Cut a piece of turquoise card a little smaller than the front of the White A5 card, and centrally stamp the sentiment across the bottom using Mermaid Lagoon.
2) Cut a piece of patterned backing paper 5cm shorter and a little narrower than the turquoise piece of card, place the two curved border stamps onto a stamp base to look like a heart, stamp one in each corner and the curved part along each side using Mermaid Lagoon, distress the edges also in Mermaid Lagoon.
3) Stamp the curved part at each side of the sentiment and distress around the three sides of the sentiment using Mermaid Lagoon.
4) Cut a 7.3cm x 9.8cm piece of white card, and a 7.9cm x 10.4cm piece of turquoise card, onto the White card stamp the solid butterfly using Broken China, and over stamp with the outline stamp and distress the edges using Mermaid Lagoon.
5) Centrally adhere to the 7.9cm x 10.4cm piece of turquoise card, then on an angle to the stamped pattern piece of paper using double sided tape or glue, centrally adhere to the top of the turquoise piece of card using double sided tape or glue, attach a piece of turquoise ribbon 2.2cm from the top and bottom of the backing paper hold in place on the back with tape, centrally adhere to the A5 white card using double sided tape or glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Bright Beginnings

 January's Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs looks fabulous in any colour! So I choose a cheery bright orange for this one.

Materials

  • January's Stamp set.
  • Stamp Bases.
  • Distress inks:- Wild Honey, Gathered Twigs.
  • Double sided tape, glue and 3D glue or foam pads.
  • Craft tools.
  • A5 eggshell card, orange, DK Orange and eggshell card.
  • Narrow brown ricrac braid.
  • 3brown card candies.


How to Make
1) Cut a 21cm x 10cm piece of eggshell card, across the top stamp the sentiment using Gathered Twigs, stamp the solid butterfly twice using Wild Honey, and over stamp with the outline stamp using Gathered Twigs.
2) Cut a 21cm x 12cm piece of DK orange card, and a 21cm x 14cm piece of orange card.
3) Adhere the piece of DK orange card to the A5 eggshell card so the open edges are flush, do this with the orange piece of card, and now repeat with the stamped piece of card, so you can see a 2cm strip of each orange colour near the fold using double sided tape or glue.
4) Glue a piece of brown ricrac braid down the centre of each Orange strip, and add a card candie to three corners of the eggshell piece of card using 3D glue or foam pads.

CRD: Monthly Make - New Beginnings!

Happy New Year!

What a great set of stamps we have to kick of the year! When I first saw the set all I could think was how the two flourish stamps would make a fabulous heart! And it worked!

Materials

  • January's Stamp Set
  • Stamp Bases
  • Distress inks:- Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools.
  • A5 white base card, turquoise and white card, toning patterned backing paper.
  • Turquoise ribbon 1cm.
How to Make
1) Cut a piece of turquoise card a little smaller than the front of the White A5 base card, and centrally stamp the sentiment across the bottom using Mermaid Lagoon.
