Vintage - Fluttering Flourishes

'Fluttering Flourishes'  (2400063a) is a new collection from Dimension Stamps, it was released in Jan 2012 and its just wonderful! Below are a few samples made using this collection.

Mum Heart
 
How to make.....
* Paint a paper mache heart in antique white acrylic.
* Stamp a butterfly and mum onto blue card in rich cocoa ink, fill them in with one of the pattern stamps with memento Paris dusk ink.
* Use the same pattern stamp to go around the edge and top of the heart in Paris dusk.
* Cut out the butterfly and mum, scrunch them up well, open them out and apply two coats of satin varnish.
* Attach two silver flower stamens to the back of the butterfly’s head.
*Using 3D glue attach mum to the left hand side of the heart, and the butterfly to the top right side.
Fix a small blue flower to each letter, and three larger blue flowers with extra stamens around the heart.

White and Lilac card


How to make...

* Distress a background onto a piece of 13.8cmx20cm dark lilac card. I used a mask of cogs and clock faces and dusty concord ink.
* Using light lilac card die cut a shadow flower from shapeabilities, stencil over it with dusty concord, and attach to the right hand side of the back ground card.
* From medium gray card die cut a Tim Holtz Iron gate, distress lightly with frayed burlap, attach to the bottom of the background card
* Then centrally attach the background card to an A5 white card.
* Stamp two butterfly’s with a wing design of your choice in vibrant violet stazon ink onto white shrink plastic.
* Colour in the body with toning promarker, cut out and shrink with a heat tool, glue onto the card with 3D glue.


Black and White card

How to make...

* Stamp two butterfly’s with wing pattern of your choice in black pigment ink onto white card, and clear emboss them.
* Onto a 14.8cmx14.8cm square white card, stamp Happy Birthday in black pigment ink and clear emboss it.
* Using the same pattern stamp as on the butterfly randomly stamp a background on the card in black ink.
* Attach some black ribbon or black paper trim 2cm in down the left hand side, and bottom of the card.
* Cut out the two butterfly’s
* Colour in a small part of the butterfly’s wings and one body with red cosmic shimmer.
* Glue the butterfly with white body flat to the card facing the top right hand corner, and attach some bits of a black feather to the head.
* Bend the wings up on the next butterfly, and attach to the one on the card by the body.
* Place a red brad, gem or card candi where the ribbon crosses.

Peacock Feather Card

How to make...
* Stamp two butterflies with wing pattern of your choice in black pigment ink onto white card, and clear emboss them.
* Onto a 14.8cmx14.8cm square white card, stamp Happy Birthday in black pigment ink and clear emboss it.
* Using the same pattern stamp as on the butterflies randomly stamp a background on the card in black ink.
* Attach some black ribbon or black paper trim 2cm in down the left hand side, and bottom of the card.
* Cut out the two butterflies
* Colour in a small part of the butterflies wings and one body with red cosmic shimmer.
* Glue the butterflies with white body flat to the card facing the top right hand corner, and attach some bits of a black feather to the head to form Antenaes.
*Bend the wings up on the next butterfly, and attach to the one on the card by the body.
* Place a red brad, gem or card candi where the ribbon crosses.

Cream and Burgundy card


How to make...
* Stamp three butterfies onto cream card with a pattern on the wings in rich cocoa, cut out the butterflies, cut straight down the wings so it’s 8.5cm across, and one so it’s 6.5cm across, distress as above making the body on the 6.5cm one dark tattered rose,
* Scrunch up the butterfly’s and open out.
* To the butterfly on the card glue some wire antennas, glue the body and 1cm of the wings of the full butterfly to the butterfly on the card working down in size just glue bodies of the next two.
* Attach a small pearl to each end of the cream lace/trim.

Cream and Tan 'Best Wishes' 

How to make...

* Trim down two pieces of tan card to a 21cm x21cm square, score 2.5cm in down one side of one of the pieces of card, this is now the back of the card.
* Cut three pieces of cream card, 20cmx9.5cm, 20cmx11cm, and the last one16cmx10cm.
* Have the short sides of the two longer pieces to the side, to the right hand side of each piece stamp part of a butterfly, stamp a different pattern on each butterfly and use it to fill in the background, with memento rich cocoa.
* Have the short sides of the last piece to the top and bottom, and stamp the butterfly in the middle, finish of as above.
* Distress all three pieces with antique linen.
* Stamp the butterfly with wing pattern onto tan card, in rich cocoa, cut out, scrunch up the butterfly open out and distress with antique linen, glue some brown wire antennas to the underside of the butterfly’s head.
Cut a strip of tan card 20cmx1cm, attach this to the top of the 20cmx9.5cm cream card, now attach the 20cmx11cmcream card to this, so you have a 0.5cm strip of tan card between the two,
* Mount the last piece of cream card onto a piece of10.5cmx17cm tan card, with the left hand side to the edge of the tan card, attach this to the centre left hand side of the cream square card.
* Centrally attach this to the tan card without the score line.
* Glue the two pieces of tan card together down the2.5cm strip up to the score line.
* Die cut BEST WISHES using Tim Holtz vintage market and a shapeabilities shadow flower.
* Attach BEST WISHES down the right hand side of the card, and the flower to the left hand side,
* Using 3D glue attach the butterfly to the card facing up to the top right hand corner, punch two holes and attach some ribbon.
