CRD: Monthly Make - Flowers

When I started to play with this months Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs all I think was how the flower heads look like petals! 

So I had to give it a try...


Though this photo makes it look like snowflakes!

Materials
  • Distress Inks - Aged Mahogany and Spun Sugar.
  • Burgundy Ribbon.
  • Large Burgundy Button.
  • Pink Stranded Cotton.
  • Versamark clear Ink Pad.
  • Hologram Embossing Powder.
  • CRD: Bren Butterfly Stamp.
How to make
  • Onto pale pink card stamp nine large flower heads, Dream, Believe, Wish and two small flower head (with enough space in between to stamp over the solid ones) in Aged Mahogany, over stamp Wish and the two small ones with the small solid stamp and all the rest with the large solid stamp in Spun Sugar, when dry emboss Dream, Believe and Wish with holographic embossing powder.
  • Cut out and shape all fourteen pieces.
  • Cut a piece of burgundy card a little smaller than front of a pale pink A5 card, and piece of pale pink smaller than the burgundy.
  • Onto the pink piece of card stamp two single swirls to look like stems and a few small solid shapes as leaves in Aged Mahogany.
  • Randomly stamp Bren Butterfly in Spun Sugar.
  • Attach a piece of burgundy chiffon ribbon near the top of card.
  • Attach to the burgundy card and then to the A5 pink card.
  • Attach with 3D glue seven large flowers and Believe into a flower in the bottom left corner, two large flowers and Dream to the top left, with Wish and the two small flowers in the middle to the right.
  • Knot a piece of burgundy ribbon to the ribbon on the right side of the card, thread some pink stranded cotton through a large burgundy button and knot, 3D glue to the centre of the flower.

CRD: Monthly Make - On a branch

Another card made using this  months Monthly Make set from Crafty Roo Designs

I love how the colours turned out on this one.

Materials

  • Memento  - Rich Cocoa.
  • Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and Scattered Straw.
  • Brown Lace.
  • Stickles - Gold Ice and Cinnamon.
How to make
  • Cut a 12cm x 5.2cm piece of white card.
  • Using Rich Cocoa stamp the single swirl in the top right and bottom left corners, in the centre stamp "All dreams begin with a wish".
  • Colour in the swirls and distress around the edges in Vintage Photo.
  • Cut a 13cm x 9.5cm piece of white card and stamp one of the single swirls from the bottom left corner across the card, mask off the rest of the card from the end and stamp another swirl along the first, remove the mask and place it over the stamped part leaving a bit to join up to, turn the stamp around and stamp a third swirl making like a branch.
  • Stamp two of the large flower heads above the branch to the right of the card and a small one to the left in Rich Cocoa, over stamp with the solid ones in Scattered Straw, colour in the swirls and distress the edges in Vintage Photo.
  • Cut a piece of orange card a little smaller than the front of an A5 white card, adhere the small piece of card centrally to the top of the card and the large one to the bottom, in the space attach a piece of brown lace.
  • Centrally attatach to the front of the A5 white card.
  • Add gold ice stickles to the coloured in parts of the swirls and a spot of cinnamon stickles to each corner.

CRD: Monthly Make - Black and white dreams

Here is another card idea I made using this months Monthly Make set from Crafty Roo Designs

This one again could be done in any colour and could be used for so many occasions - Good Luck, congratulations, birthday or even a just because card. 



Materials
  • Distress Inks - Black Soot and Hickory Smoke.
  • Die’sire Make a Wish EF6-WISH Embossalicious Folder. 
  • Versamark Clear ink Pad. 
  • Silver Embossing Powder.
  • Narrow Black Chiffon Ribbon.
  • 2 Silver Pearl Brads.
How to make
  • Cut a piece of white card a little smaller than the front of a small square black card.
  • Using Black Soot stamp the corner swirl in the top right and bottom left corners.
  • Randomly stamp the small three dandelion seeds in Hickory Smoke over the card.
  • Emboss with the embossing folder.
  • Heat emboss the edges in silver.
  • Knot a narrow piece of black chiffon ribbon to a silver pearl brad and attach to the stamped corners.
  • Adhere to the black card.
  • Stamp the large solid flower onto a piece of scrap card and cut out, draw round it three times onto black card (try not to touch the card too much) using a Versamark pad stamp Believe and Dream with the first letter to the wider end and Wish to the pointed end, and silver emboss.
  • Cut out and edge with a silver pen.
  • Using 3D foam pads down the centre of the card from top left to bottom right corners.

CRD: Monthly Make - Colourful Dreams

Here is another card I have made using this months Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs. This one is simple to do and can be adapted to suit any colourway!

Materials
  • Distress Inks - Abandoned Coral, Dusty Concord, Mermaid Lagoon, and Scattered Straw
  • Versamark Ink Pad
  • Silver Embossing Powder
  • Four Silver Glitter Brads.
How to make
  • Onto a 15cm x 15cm square piece of white card put random blocks of four bright colours to cover the card, spritz well with water and leave to dry,
  • Second generation stamp the small flower head to the same coloured block
  • Cut a 16cm x 16cm and a 5cm x 12.8cm piece of purple shimmer card
  • Centrally stamp “All dreams begin with a wish” onto the small piece of card in Versamark and Silver emboss it, silver emboss around the edges of the three pieces of card.
  • Centrally adhere the distressed piece to the purple card then to the front of a 7 inch square white card.
  • Attach a silver glitter brad to each corner of the sentiment piece and centrally attach to the card using 3D foam pads.

CRD: Monthly Make - Dream, Wish, Believe

Here is another of the cards for this months Monthly Make. I really enjoyed making the background for one it was so quick to do, but looks lovely. I definitely think I will be doing this background a lot!


Materials

  • Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Peeled Paint distress Ink and marker pen
  • Clear ink pad
  • Gold embossing powder
How to make

  • Second generation stamp the small flower head onto the front of a cream A5 card in Rich Cocoa.
  • Cut a 9cm x 13cm piece of cream card.
  • stamp the single swirl three times down the card with the top of the swirl to the left, in Versamark and emboss in Gold Embossing Powder.
  • Stamp Dream to the end of the top one, Believe to the end of the bottom one and Wish to the middle of the last one emboss as before in gold.
  • Stamp the small flower head at the end of Wish in Rich Cocoa, and over stamp with the solid stamp in Peeled Paint.
  • Cut a 10cm x 14cm and a 21cm x 3cm piece of green card.
  • At each end of the green strip stamp the small flower head in Versamark and gold emboss them.
  • Gold emboss around the edges of the three pieces of card, adhere the green strip across the centre of the A5 card, adhere the cream card to the green and centrally adhere to the card.

CRD: Monthly Make.

I am so excited to share with you the very first Monthly make from Crafty Roo Designs

It has been great fun to work with these stamps, and I just love the sentiment included it will be so useful, I know I keep saying that but it really will be.

This first card could be used for any occasion and  done in any colour too.



Materials 

  • Memento :- Tuxedo Black, 
  • Distress Ink (and marker):- Dusty Concord 
  • Silver Glitter Brads 
  • Ribbon.
How to make
  • Cut a 13.8cm x 13.8cm square piece of white card, along the top and bottom stamp the long side of the corner swirl, so the swirls are in the corners and the points meet in the middle in black, colour in the swirls and distress.
  • Add a silver glitter brad to the join in the bottom swirls.
  • Mount onto a 14.3cm x 14.3cm square piece of purple shimmer card, adhere to the front of a small square white card
  • Cut a 13.8cm x 7cm piece of white card, using black ink stamp the corner swirl in the top right and bottom left corners close to the edges, and stamp “All dreams begin with a wish” in the centre, colour in the swirls, distress darker over the two corners and lighter over the saying,
  • Add a silver glitter brad to the two stamp corners,
  • Mount onto a 13.8cm x 7.5cm piece of purple shimmer card and centrally adhere to the card,
  • Add a toning bow to the join in the top swirls.
