A few weeks back I manged to attend a craft show, normally I am left watching the grankids and miss out, but this time I got to go!
And I am sooo pleased I did I bumped into a very dear friend who I hadn't seen for well I would hate to think how long it is since I last saw the lovely Aly, from Aly's Inky Fingers we had a good natter and she asked if I was busy???
Well I am never too busy to make a sample or two so here are a couple of cards I made using her Santa With Pressie stamp.
Cut a piece of green card a little smaller than the front of the square white card, and a piece of white card just a little smaller than the green card.
Randomly stamp the four solid leaves onto the white piece of card, each leaf to one of the lighter shades (not Forest Moss) over stamp the leaves with the outline stamps in Forest Moss, randomly second generation stamp the solid leaf stamps over the card in the same colours as before, edge the card in Peeled Paint.
Centrally adhere to the green piece of card then to the small square white card with Double Sided Tape or Glue.
Cut a 5.5x10cm piece of white card and a 6x10.5cm piece of green card, onto the white card centrally stamp the sentiment in Forest Moss, and as before second generation stamp the solid leaves around the sentiment, distress with Shabby Shutters and edge with Peeled Paint.
Centrally adhere to the green piece of card and then to the card on an angle with Double Sided Tape or Glue.
Thread a piece of green stranded cotton through each of the buttons and knot, attach one to each corner of the sentiment card with 3D Glue.
Cut a piece of blue backing paper a little smaller than the front of the A5 card, and a piece of white card a little smaller than the blue paper.
Onto the piece of white card stamp the tree in the top top left in Rich Cocoa for the trunk and Bamboo Leaves for the top, stamp the bird on the top branch of the tree in Rich Cocoa.
Make a mask of the pointed leaves and apples, stamp the apples on the tree in Peeled Paint leaving room for a leaf with each apple, second generation stamp the solid leaf in Peeled Paint and over stamp also using Peeled Paint, using the masked where needed.
Die cut a brown wheelbarrow add a gold brad to the wheel, mark a line just below the top of where the wheelbarrow will be on the card, stamp a stack of five apples in Peeled Paint onto the line and one to the bottom of the tree, stamp a bird in Rich Cocoa on the top of the apples.
Colour in the tree trunk, birds and apples, stamp Relax... And Take it slow..! In the top right hand corner, with The garden is calling! In the bottom left in Rich Cocoa.
Centrally adhere to the blue backing paper then onto the A5 white card with Double Sided Tape or Glue, attach the wheelbarrow with glue.
Cut a piece of card a little smaller than the front of the square card.
Cover the top of the piece of card to make sky, and the bottom as grass, and attach this to the front of the card.
Stamp the tree trunk and two birds onto brown patterned paper in Rich Cocoa.
Stamp the birdhouse onto eight pieces of patterned paper in Tuxedo Black, use toning pens colour in the hearts, circles and roofs, cut out all the pieces.
Die cut "New Home" in purple and attach in the top right corner with Glue, attach the tree to the left of the card with a bird on a branch and four of the birdhouses and the rest of the birdhouses and bird go on the grass using Glue.
Cut a 10x15cm piece of cream card, stamp the tree in the centre in Rich Cocoa.
Stamp the tree again on a 10x15 piece of scrap paper, cutting away the inside left part of the top just passed the top of the Middle branch only, make four masks of the maple leaf.
Place the mask over the tree and randomly stamp the maple on the left side the solid leaf in Wild Honey and the outline in Gathered Twigs using the leaf masks when needed.
Colour in the tree trunk and distress the top of the tree with Scattered Straw, distress around the edges of the card with Scattered Straw and Rusty Hinge.
Centrally adhere to the top of a 21x12 cm piece of craft card with Double Sided Tape or Glue, in the space at the bottom stamp Happy Birthday in Gathered Twigs with a maple leaf in the two corners as before.
Down the folded edge of the A5 cream card stamp the maple leaf as before the solid in Wild Honey and the outline in Gathered Twigs, and distress over with Scattered Straw, stamp seven maple leaves onto cream card and cut them out.
Adhere the craft card to the right hand edge of the card with Double Sided Tape or Glue, attach five of the leaves to the top of the tree with two at the bottom with Glue.
So I have taken a break from posting Christmas cards to share one of this months Monthly Make cards. This first card has been made using just 3 of the stamps in the set! I found this cards a real pleasure to make as I got to use up some of those paper scraps I have sat around the place!
