Santa With Tree

Santa With Pressie

A few weeks back I manged to attend a craft show, normally I am left watching the grankids and miss out,  but this time I got to go! 

And I am sooo pleased I did I bumped into a very dear friend who I hadn't seen for well I would hate to think how long it is since I last saw the lovely Aly, from Aly's Inky Fingers we had a good natter and she asked if I was busy???

Well I am never too busy to make a sample or two so here are a couple of cards I made using her Santa With Pressie stamp.

CRD: Monthly Make: Dreams

I know this isn't this month's Monthly Make, but here is a card I made for my sister using Augusts set. 

This lovely die just howled out to be used and it teamed up perfectly with the dandelions.....



 The dies I used are Spellbinder's  in'spire in-031 Dandelion and  in-057 Howling.

I hope you like it my sister certainly did!

CRD: Monthly Make - Leafy days

This is my last card card for this months Monthly Make and this has to be my favourite. I can see me making this one quite a lot and experimenting with all those autumn colours!

I hope you like it too.



Materials

  • Distress Ink Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage, Old Paper, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss.
  • Green Stranded Cotton or Twine.
  • Four Small Green Buttons.
  • Double Sided Tape, Glue, 3D Glue.
  • Small Square White Card, White Card, Green Card.

How to make
  • Cut a piece of green card a little smaller than the front of the square white card, and a piece of white card just a little smaller than the green card.
  • Randomly stamp the four solid leaves onto the white piece of card, each leaf to one of the lighter shades (not Forest Moss) over stamp the leaves with the outline stamps in Forest Moss, randomly second generation stamp the solid leaf stamps over the card in the same colours as before, edge the card in Peeled Paint.
  • Centrally adhere to the green piece of card then to the small square white card with Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Cut a 5.5x10cm piece of white card and a 6x10.5cm piece of green card, onto the white card centrally stamp the sentiment in Forest Moss, and as before second generation stamp the solid leaves around the sentiment, distress with Shabby Shutters and edge with Peeled Paint.
  • Centrally adhere to the green piece of card and then to the card on an angle with Double Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Thread a piece of green stranded cotton through each of the buttons and knot, attach one to each corner of the sentiment card with 3D Glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Apple Tree

This months stamp set comes jam packed full with lots of stamps to add to the tree, so this time I have used used the apple, bird and one of the leaves (the saying are from the Relax stamp set).

Materials

  • Memento Rich Cocoa, Bamboo Leaves.
  • Distress Inks Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass.
  • Distress Markers Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron.
  • Keane Creatief No45.0317 Wheelbarrow Die.
  • CRD Relax Stamp set
  • Gold Brad.
  • A5 White Card, White card,Blue Backing Paper.
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue.
How to make
  • Cut a piece of blue backing paper a little smaller than the front of the A5 card, and a piece of white card a little smaller than the blue paper.
  • Onto the piece of white card stamp the tree in the top top left in Rich Cocoa for the trunk and Bamboo Leaves for the top, stamp the bird on the top branch of the tree in Rich Cocoa.
  • Make a mask of the pointed leaves and apples, stamp the apples on the tree in Peeled Paint leaving room for a leaf with each apple, second generation stamp the solid leaf in Peeled Paint and over stamp also using Peeled Paint, using the masked where needed.
  • Die cut a brown wheelbarrow add a gold brad to the wheel, mark a line just below the top of where the wheelbarrow will be on the card, stamp a stack of five apples in Peeled Paint onto the line and one to the bottom of the tree, stamp a bird in Rich Cocoa on the top of the apples.
  • Colour in the tree trunk, birds and apples, stamp Relax... And Take it slow..! In the top right hand corner, with The garden is calling! In the bottom left in Rich Cocoa.
  • Centrally adhere to the blue backing paper then onto the A5 white card with Double Sided Tape or Glue, attach the wheelbarrow with glue.

CRD: Monthly Make: New Home

The Little bird house stamp in this months Crafty Roo Designs Monthly Make set is is just perfect for New Home cards!




Materials

  • Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa.
  • Assorted marker pens.
  • Cuttlebug Die 37-1053 Baby Face (font).
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue
  • Small Square White Card, White Card.
  • Patterned papers.

How to Make
  • Cut a piece of card a little smaller than the front of the square card.
  • Cover the top of the piece of card to make sky, and the bottom as grass, and attach this to the front of the card.
  • Stamp the tree trunk and two birds onto brown patterned paper in Rich Cocoa.
  • Stamp the birdhouse onto eight pieces of patterned paper in Tuxedo Black, use toning pens colour in the hearts, circles and roofs, cut out all the pieces.
  • Die cut "New Home" in purple and attach in the top right corner with Glue, attach the tree to the left of the card with a bird on a branch and four of the birdhouses and the rest of the birdhouses and bird go on the grass using Glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Autumn Birthday

This Monthly Make card would make a great blokes card or a lovely retirement card.

You could change the colours, but I really like cream and kraft card.





Materials

  • Memento Rich Cocoa.
  • Distress Ink Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge Gathered Twigs.
  • Distress Marker Vintage Photo
  • Doubled Sided Tape or Glue.
  • Sentiment stamps - Happy Birthday Weathered, With Love
  • A5 Cream Card, Craft Card, Cream Card.

How to make
  • Cut a 10x15cm piece of cream card, stamp the tree in the centre in Rich Cocoa.
  • Stamp the tree again on a 10x15 piece of scrap paper, cutting away the inside left part of the top just passed the top of the Middle branch only, make four masks of the maple leaf.
  • Place the mask over the tree and randomly stamp the maple on the left side the solid leaf in Wild Honey and the outline in Gathered Twigs using the leaf masks when needed.
  • Colour in the tree trunk and distress the top of the tree with Scattered Straw, distress around the edges of the card with Scattered Straw and Rusty Hinge.
  • Centrally adhere to the top of a 21x12 cm piece of craft card with Double Sided Tape or Glue, in the space at the bottom stamp Happy Birthday in Gathered Twigs with a maple leaf in the two corners as before.
  • Down the folded edge of the A5 cream card stamp the maple leaf as before the solid in Wild Honey and the outline in Gathered Twigs, and distress over with Scattered Straw, stamp seven maple leaves onto cream card and cut them out.
  • Adhere the craft card to the right hand edge of the card with Double Sided Tape or Glue, attach five of the leaves to the top of the tree with two at the bottom with Glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Line of Houses

So I have taken a break from posting Christmas cards to share one of this months Monthly Make cards. This first card has been made using just 3 of the stamps in the set!

I found this cards a real pleasure to make as I got to use up some of those paper scraps I have sat around the place!






Materials

  • Memento Tuxedo Black, Bamboo Leaves.
  • Distress Inks Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass.
  • Assorted marker pens
  • Fine Black Cord.
  • Coloured patterned paper.
  • 5x7 inch white card, white card (folded on the short edge).
  • Double Sided Tape or Glue.

How to Make
  • Cut a 4 x6 inch piece of white card (landscape)
  • In the bottom left corner stamp the sentiment in Bamboo Leaves.
  • Distress over the bottom half with Shabby Shutters and the top with Tumbled Glass, add a few tufts of grass with the edge of a piece of foam.
  • Attach a piece of fine black cord 2.5 cm down from each side of the card, do not pull it tight let it dip a little.
  • Stamp the bird house onto eight pieces of patterned paper in Tuxedo Black, use toning colours to colour in the hearts, circles and roofs, cut them out and glue them hanging from the black cord.
  • Stamp a bird on the line and one in the bottom right corner, colour them in.
  • Centrally adhere to a 4.5x6.5inch piece of green patterned paper, and then onto a 7x5inch white card with Double Sided Tape or Glue.

CRD: Deck the Halls

Before I get busy sharing all this ideas for this months Crafty Roo Designs Monthly Make I thought I would share a couple of the Christmas cards.
