Bits and bobs

I have finally finished adding the cards I made using the Vintage Pretty Antiquity set! Here's a sneaky peak at a couple of the cards you can see on the Pretty Antiquitys' page on the left.


 
 
I have also added a page called "Challenge Sue", where I have put cards I have made, using stamps I have been "challenged" to use. For example...


You will also find a lovely Shed set that Faye "Challenged " me to use! Tho with a stamp as versatile as this how can I really class these cards as a "challenge"!


I hope you enjoy looking at these cards as much as I have enjoyed making them.

Project club - Vintage Brown


* 3D glaze a clock face into a brown bottle top and leave to dry

* Randomly stamp an A4 piece of cream card, with the cogs, solid hands don’t count..  and Tempis Fugit, in Memento Rich Cocoa.

* Distress the cream card with tea die ink.

* Stamp a wavy line  of small cogs down one of the short sides of an A4 cream card, the clock face with Times flies curled up around the bottom, one of the large solid clock hands, two of the small solid clock hands, and a large cog in Rich Cocoa.

Using a 7.5 inch x 7.5 inch burnt orange square card leave about 3.5cm from the fold, cut a piece of brown card to fit the rest of the card, with a 0.5cm border on the other three sides.

* Cut down and attach a piece of the cream stamped card to fit the brown card with a narrow border, now cut a smaller piece of brown card, wide enough to fit the clock face on, and long enough to go from across the top left hand corner to the bottom right hand corner, cut down and attach with a border a piece of stamped cream card.

* Randomly tear three pieces of printed paper, and distress with tea die ink, attach two pieces   one in the top right hand corner, and one in the bottom left hand corner of the large piece of brown card, the other piece across the bottom of the smaller brown card.

* Die cut from brown card a bird and wing (Tim Holtz 656634), two flourishes (Tim Holtz 656639).

* Onto a 5.5cm x 2.5cm piece of brown card in Memento Tuxedo Black stamp don’t count.., and tick tock over the bird and wing in Rich Cocoa.

* Gloss varnish over the bird, wing, flourishes, and don’t count.

* Cut out the clock face with time flies, apply a thin coat of distress crackle paint and leave to dry (it will look pitted not cracked).

* Cut one of the small clock hands, so it’s 1.2cm from the point round off the end, cut out the other two hands, gloss varnish all the hands, glue the small cut hand to the small clock face, punch a small hole in the clock face and two hands, attach the hands to the clock face with a brown brad, attach to the smaller brown card with foam tape or 3D glue.

* Attach this on an angle to the larger piece of brown card, with a brown brad in each corner, Attach to the right hand side of the burnt orange card.

* Cut out the wavy line of cogs and the large cog (so you can thread the line of small cogs through it), edge the large cog in Rich Cocoa, gloss varnish the line of cogs and the large one, when dry thread the line of cogs through the large cog and glue down the left hand side of the card

* In Rich Cocoa edge don’t count and attach in the bottom right hand corner.

* With 3D glue attach the bird with wing to the top right hand corner, and the two flourishes in the bottom left hand corner with the bottle top.

Project club - 50th Anniversary


* Onto an 8 inch x 8 inch cream card, stamp "Don’t count..." across the top two corners, with one above it so it goes off the edge of the card, distress around the edge of the card with tea die.

* Die cut down two sides of a 5.5 inch x 5.5 inch piece of pale gold card with Tim Holtz Distressed Doily (657496), attach to the centre top of the card.

* Die cut two small elegant flourishes Tim Holtz (656639) in pale gold card, attach across the bottom of the card.

* Stamp the clock face with the words Time flies curled up around the bottom, one large solid clock hand and two small solid clock hands, onto ivory pearl card in Memento Potter’s Clay.

* Cut out the clock face with words, mount onto cream pearl card cut out with a narrow border.

* Cut out one of the small hands so it’s 1.2cm from the point round off the end, glue to the small clock face.

* Cut out the other two hands punch a small hole in each, and one in the centre of the clock face, attach the hands to the face with a brown brad.

* Die cut a 50 in ivory pearl card attach to the top centre of the die cut doily, to the side of the 50 stamp th, and Anniversary under it in Memento Rich Cocoa.

* Attach the clock face under Anniversary with foam tape or 3D glue.

* With 3D glue attach a fabric flower to the flourishes.

Project club - Tick Tock (green and black one)

* I embossed a 10.5cm x 17 cm piece of black magic colour core card with clock faces and hands. (Creative Expressions Time EF-003). Then sand over the embossed card to show the green core.

* From a piece of toning green A4 card make an off centre gate fold card, making the left hand side 11.2cm,

* Cut the card down to 17.7cm.

* Cut a piece of green 14cm x 16.7cm, stamp a large cog in each corner, with a small cog  each side of it, in the middle of each side stamp Tempis Fugit in Memento Bamboo Leaves.

* Distress around the edge so it just over the cogs and words in Forest Moss.

* Using Bamboo Leaves stamp "Don’t count....." in the centre and attach centrally to the inside of the card.

* Cut a piece of green card to fit the narrow side of the card, stamp two small cogs across the top and bottom, down the right hand side stamp six more cogs leaving a gap in the middle.

* Distress with Forest Moss, and attach to the narrow side.

* Onto the remaining green card stamp the clock face, one large solid clock hand, two small solid clock hands, two large cogs and "Time flies....", in Bamboo Leaves.

* Cut out the two large cogs cutting away the green card between the spokes, loop a piece of black ribbon through one of the cogs so you can see the small centre cog, attach to the centre of the narrow gate fold side.

* Cut out Time flies... so it’s 1.5cm x 10.5cm round off the ends, thread through the other cog so you can read Time flies in the cog, attach to the bottom of the black embossed card with foam tape.

* Cut out one of the small clock hands so it’s 1.2cm from the point round of the end, cut out the other two clock hands.

* Cut out the clock face, distress  with Forest Moss, glue the small cut hand to the small clock face, punch a small hole in the centre of the clock face and the two clock hands, attach hands to the face with a black brad.

* With foam tape attach the clock face to the black embossed card, centrally attach to the large gate fold side.

Project club - Happy 40th!

* Onto a piece of 13.8cm x 13.8cm white card, randomly stamp the four clock hands, tick tock, and  Tempis Fugit, in Memento Grape Jelly.

* Randomly stamp the four hands onto a piece of 7cm x 3.5cm white card, in Grape Jelly ink. Then distress both pieces of the card, with Tattered Rose and Dusty Concord.

* Attach the stamped card onto pieces of 14.8cm x 14.8cm and 4cm x 7.5cm purple card.

* Have the fold of a 14.8cm x 14.8cm purple card facing away from you, and score a line from the top left hand corner, down to the bottom right hand corner, on the top part of the card.

* Onto another piece of 13.8cm x 13.8cm white card, randomly stamp the four clock hands, and Don’t count...., in Grape Jelly, distress as above.

* Attach to the inside of the card.

* Stamp Don’t count...., in Memento Tuxedo Black, onto a piece of 6cm x 2.7cm purple card, edge in Grape Jelly, attach to the 3.5cm x 7cm white stamped card, with the folded edge of the purple card to the left hand side of you , attach the saying with foam tape across the bottom right hand corner.

* Stamp the clock face with the words Time flies..., curled up around the bottom of the face in Tuxedo Black onto purple card.

* Cut out and edge in Grape Jelly.

* Stamp one large solid clock hand and two of the small solid clock hands, in Tuxedo Black , cut out one of the small hands, so it’s 1.2cm from the point,, and round off the end, cut out the other two hands and clear emboss them all.

* Attach the small cut hand to the small clock face with glue, punch a small hole in the other two hands, and the centre of the clock face, with a silver brad attach the clock hands to the clock face.

With foam tape attach to the top right hand corner of the 14.8cm x 14.8cm piece of purple card.

Stamp the small flower from the Paper Garden Set, in Tuxedo Black onto purple card, over stamp with the words tick tock....,

* Scrunch up so the card is very supple, now hold the petal between your thumb and finger, and tear around the top of the petal and part way down the left hand side of each petal leaving about a 1.5cm circle in the centre of the flower. (Thanks for the idea Kym, it looks good!)

* Punch out two pine or fern leaves and attach the flower and leaves to the bottom left hand corner.

* Die cut 40 from silver card, and today from purple card, attach the 40 to the flower and today across the bottom of the piece of card. (I used Vintage Market Alphabet 656623)

* With the fold of the card to your left, attach the 14.8cm x 14.8cm piece of card to the bottom right hand corner only.
