CRD: Monthly Make - Cupcake anyone????

Getting the Monthly Make stamps each month is always a surprise, while Kym and I always discuss ideas she never fails to surprise me with the final stamp sets   Aprils' Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs.


Materials

  • April's Stamp Set.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:-Zeal Teal, Cantaloupe, Grape Jelly, Sweet Plum.
  • Marker pens Yellow, purple, Teal.
  • Pick stick, purple Cotton.
  • Smaller square white card, turquoise, white, pale lavender card.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools.
How to Make

1) Onto white card stamp four clouds ( Teal), four sets hearts in each (Teal, Cantaloupe, Grape Jelly) and a rainbow (Grape Jelly), colour in the hearts to match the ink, colour the rainbow to match the hearts, cut out the hearts, rainbow and one full cloud and just the centre from the other three.



2) Attach the rainbow to the pick stick, attach one of each coloured heart to purple cotton then onto the back of the rainbow using glue, leave to dry.



3) Cut a piece of pale lavender card a little smaller than the front of the square white card, stamp "Happy thoughts" on an angle in the top left corner, using the edge of the stamp base stamp lines along each side using Sweet Plum, centrally adhere to the small square white card using double sided tape or glue.



4) Cut a 6cm x 14 cm piece of turquoise card, randomly stamp the hearts ( Zeal Teal), score every o.5cm across the card and concertina fold, cut out a cup cake shape and glue on the folded shape to make the case.



5) 3D Glue the full cloud to the cup cake case with the other three behind it to make the cup cake shape, glue on the hearts to look like sprinkles, glue the pick stick between the clouds, adhere to the card using double sided tape or glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Sunflower

This is the last card I made using Aprils' Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs. The sentiments in this stamp set are a great size for making backgrounds.

Next months set is a fabulous set for the blokes so pop back soon!



Materials

  • April's Stamp Set.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Cantaloupe, Peanut Brittle, Rich Cocoa.
  • Distress Ink:- Scattered Straw, Tea Dye.
  • A5 Cream card, Yellow, Dark Cream and Brown card, Green handmade paper.
  • Double sided tape or Glue, 3D Glue.
  • Craft tools.
How to Make

1) Cut a piece of DK cream card a little smaller than the front of the A5 cream card, and randomly stamp "Happy thoughts" (Peanut Brittle) and the three hearts ( Cantaloupe) on to it.



2) Distress around the card first with Scattered Straw, then over the edges with Tea Dye, centrally adhere to the front of the A5 cream card using double sided tape or glue.



3) Cut three 21cm x 3.7cm pieces of yellow card, score every 0.5cm along the three pieces, concertina fold all pieces and glue together, round off the corner of one side to look like petals.



4) Onto to brown card stamp the sun with the largest heart stamped eight times overlapping in the centre using Rich Cocoa, cut out.



5) Cut two 2.5cm circles of yellow card cover one side of each with glue, make the scored yellow piece into a tight circle and centrally glue a yellow circle the back and front, hold in place till dry, centrally glue the brown sun to the front.



6) Glue the flower head toward the top of the card, roll strip of green paper into a thin tube and glue to hold shape, cut two leaves from green, adhere to the card using 3D glue.

CRD: Monthly Make - Die Cut Feel Better Soon

Here is another Get well soon Card made using Aprils' Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs. I just love how the "Feel better soon" sentiment fits into this die cut aperture. 


Materials

  • April's Stamp Set.
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:-Angle Pink, Dandelion, Sweet Plum, pistachio, Peanut Brittle, Summer Sky, cantaloupe, London Fog.
  • Distress ink:- Scattered Straw, Stormy Sky,
  • Nestabilities S4-251 Big Scalloped Ovals.
  • Glossy accent.
  • Marker pens.
  • Small square white card, cream, white card.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools, 
How to Make

1) Cut a piece of cream and white card so they are a little smaller than the front of the square white card.


2) In the top right corner of the White piece of card, stamp "Every rainbow follows a storm" each word in a different colour( Angle Pink, Dandelion, Sweet Plum, Pistachio, Peanut Brittle), distress the top left corner in Scattered Straw and the rest of the piece of card in Stormy Sky.


3) Centrally adhere to the front of the square white card using double sided tape or glue, centrally die cut the 8.3cm scallop 3cm up from the bottom of the card.
4)  stamp the sun ( Cantaloupe), cloud (Summer Sky) and the rainbow (Sweet Plum) onto a piece of white card, colour in the sun and rainbow, cut out all the pieces.


5) Stamp the sun (Cantaloupe) in the top left corner and the rainbow (Sweet Plum) in the bottom right corner of the cream piece of card, colour them in, centrally adhere to the inside back of the card using double sided tape or glue, close the card and stamp "Feel better soon" (Pistachio, Cantaloupe, Peanut Brittle) through the die cut shape.


6) Adhere the sun in the top left corner, the rainbow in the bottom right corner, and the cloud to the right of the sun above the die cut oval using double sided tape or glue, stamp some raindrops under the cloud ( London Fog), glossy accent the sun, rainbow and raindrops.

CRD: Monthly Make - Happy Thoughts

This is another card I have made using Aprils' Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs this time I have used the "Happy Thoughts" and "Every rainbow follows a storm" sentiments, I think both of these are great as they can be used for so many things.



Materials

  • April's stamp set
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- London Fog, Angle Pink, Cantaloupe, Sweet Plum,Pistachio, Summer Sky, Grape Jelly.
  • Distress ink and marker pens:- Tumbled Glass, Scattered Straw, Dusty Concord, squeezed lemonade.
  • Narrow Purple, Yellow,Turquoise ribbon.
  • Small square white card, Turquoise, White card.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools.



How to make
1) Trim a piece of turquoise card so it's a little smaller than the front of the square white card,stamp " Every rainbow follows a storm" ( pink, yellow, Lilac, Green, Blue) each word in a different colour across the bottom, randomly stamp the three raindrops ( London Fog ).
2) Cut a 8cm x 3.5cm, 4.2cm x 4.2cm and a 5cm x 3.5cm pieces of white card, stamp "Happy thoughts" with a heart in each corner (Grape Jelly) onto the 8cm x 3.5cm piece of card, colour the hearts in purple and distress the edges in Dusty Concord, stamp the sun with the three hearts (Cantaloupe) in the centre' colour the sun in yellow and distress the edges in Scattered Straw, stamp the rainbow with the three hearts (Grape Jelly) in the middle, colour the rainbow and hearts in purple, yellow and blue and distress the edges in Tumbled Glass.
3) Place (do not adhere) "Happy thought" top left, the rainbow bottom right, with the sun overlapping both in the middle to work out where to attach the ribbons so the middle is over the ribbon, attach the matching ribbon in place, centrally adhere to the White card using double sided tape or glue.
4) Centrally adhere the stamped piece over the ribbon using double sided tape or glue,knot a piece of ribbon to each piece of ribbon.

CRD: Monthly Make - Feel Better Soon

Aprils' Monthly Make from Crafty Roo Designs has been based around April Showers though as always Kym has done her own version of this and has come up with a stamp set that is so versatile it covers most occasions.

So, to kick of this Aprils creations with this get Feel Better Soon card.






Materials

  • April's Stamp Set
  • Small Hope & You stamps
  • Stamp bases.
  • Memento:- Summer Sky, London Fog, Peanut Brittle, Cantaloupe, Sweet Plum.
  • Distress ink:- Stormy sky, Scattered Straw.
  • Green, Yellow, Pink marker pens.
  • A5 white card, white card.
  • Double sided tape or glue.
  • Craft tools.
How To Make

1) Onto the front of the A5 white card stamp " Every cloud follows a rainbow" in the top right corner, and "Feel better soon!" In the bottom right corner using Peanut Brittle, distress over the words using Scattered Straw
2) randomly stamp the cloud (Summer Sky) and raindrops (London Fog) onto the front of the A5 card.
3) Cut two strips of white card the same width as the A5 card, one 4.5cm and the other 3.8cm, across the 4.5cm one stamp three Suns (Cantaloupe) and stamp "Hope" (Peanut Brittle) in the centre of the left one, colour the Suns yellow, across the 3.8cm one stamp three rainbows (Sweet Plum) in the middle one stamp "You" (Peanut Brittle) colour in the rainbows (green, yellow, pink).
4) Distress around the Suns and rainbows using Stormy Sky, adhere the two strips to the card using double sided tape or glue.
