Project Club: Main Club Card

How to make:  

  • From a piece of cream card cut three pieces 8.5cm x 11cm, 8cm x 10cm, and a 5.5cm x 9cm, cut a 9cm x 11.5cm, and a 8.5cm x 10.5cm from green card, and a 6.5cm x 10cm piece of brown card.
  • Randomly stamp the compost bag, plant pots, trowel and fork in Memento Rich Cocoa onto the 8.5cm x 11cm piece of cream card, colour in with browns, beige's and green Promarkers, edge in brown.
  • Randomly stamp the wellies in Memento Olive Grove and the spade in Memento Rich Cocoa, onto the 8cm x 10.5cm piece of cream card, colour in and edge as above.
  • Make a mask of the wheel barrow, using Memento Rich Cocoa stamp the wheelbarrow to the left of the 5.5cm x 9cm piece of cream card, place the mask over the wheelbarrow and stamp the spade between the handles in Rich Cocoa, and the wellies in Olive Grove to the right of the spade, colour as above but edge in green.
  • On the main card in the top right and bottom left hand corners stamp part of the shed in Memento Rich Cocoa colour in using brown, attach the two randomly stamped pieces of cream card onto the green card and last one onto the brown, attach brown checked ribbon 1.5cm down from the top of the larger one, and down the side of the other backed onto green card.
  • Attach the largest in the top left hand corner of the card, the other green one in the bottom right hand corner. 
  • Finally using foam pads or 3D glue attach the brown one across the middle of the card.

Other ideas
These next two are made almost the same as the above one, but die cuts and punches were also used.


This blue card was stamped in Memento Paris Dusk, coloured in with blue Promarkers and distressed in Stormy Sky Distress Ink. Then mounted onto navy card, two narrow borders were made using the smaller stamps coloured in and distressed as above, mounted onto navy card. From navy card die cut two shadow flowers (Shapeabilities S5-066) and punched three small butterflies. Next add glitter glue to the butterflies.


The pink card was stamped  and edged in Memento Rhubarb Stalk, coloured in with pink Promarkers  and mounted first onto black then onto burgundy card. Next punch out three black and one burgundy small flowers,  die cut some black lace (Tim Holtz Vintage Lace Sizzix 657481) and cut two pieces of the ( Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Sizzix 656640) in black and the other two in burgundy card. Finally add glitter glue to the centre of the flowers.

Project Club: Framed


This is a real quick to make card but looks great! And I think it would work quite well for little ones too that love making things too.......

How to make: 
  • Cut a piece of blue card just a little smaller than a small square white card, and a piece of iced blue pearl card 0.5cm smaller than the blue.
  • Onto the iced blue Card  this stamp a border in Memento Paris Dusk using the hammer, saw spanner and sprit level colour the handles on the saw and hammer in a blue Promarker.
  • Cut out a 10cm x 4.5cm piece of blue card leaving a 1.3cm border on each side cut a rectangle from the centre to make a frame, stamp the saw three time across the top and bottom and once down each side in Memento Paris Dusk, and twice onto blue card, colour in the handles.
  • Cut the two extra ones out and attach one to the top right and bottom left hand corners of the cut out rectangle and clear gloss the frame, onto a 9.5cm x 4cm piece of white card stamp “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” across the middle in Memento Paris Dusk and attach the frame over it.
  • Die cut "Dad" from blue card and mount first onto iced blue then blue card gloss the "Dad" and the blue card.
  • Fold a 26cm piece of white cord in half and knot each end attach to the back of the frame and "Dad", attach to the stamp iced blue card with a blue brad.
  • Hold the frame and "Dad" in place with foam pads, centre onto the piece of blue card then onto the white card.

Project Club: All Tied Up!


I love how this card turned out, I can think of a few blokes this would work for!

How to make:
  • Stamp a border around an A5 dark cream card in Memento Rich Cocoa using the spade, plant pots, trowel and fork, and colour in with brown and beige Promarkers and edge in brown.
  • Next cut a piece of brown card to fit inside the border and cut a piece of pale cream card 1cm smaller.
  • Then stamp “ HAPPY BIRTHDAY” near the top of the pale cream card and the wheelbarrow, plant pots, spade, compost bag, wellies trowel and fork at the bottom of the card in Memento Rich Cocoa, colour in as above.
  • Wrap parcel string around the card above the wheelbarrow etc. And tie three small pieces to it.
  • Finally using foam pads or 3D glue centrally attach to the brown card.

Project Club: Autumn Shed

This months Project Club set is perfect for making cards for all seasons.....

How to make: 

  • Stamp the shed onto light brown card in Memento Rich Cocoa colour parts in with brown cut out and distress with Tea Dye Distress Ink.
  • Next stamp the wellies in dark green ink onto green card, and the wheelbarrow and spade in dark gray ink onto light gray card colour in the handles and wheel, cut them out.
  • From brown card die cut a chair (Sizzlits Beach Set 2 38-9687) and cut autumn leaves and branches in different coloured card  (Autumn Gatherings Sizzix 657454).
  • Distress the top half of a white DL card in Stormy Sky and the bottom in Peeled Paint Distress Inks with a hint of Tea Dye.
  • Attach the shed to the top of the card with the wellies just over the bottom right hand corner of it.
  • Then attach the chair, wheelbarrow and spade under the shed but 2cm up from the bottom of the card, add a branch in the wheelbarrow and one near the wheel.
  • Finally attach the leaves to the bottom of the card, attach some branches and leaves to the top left hand corner of the card.

Project Club: Beach Retreat

I couldn't resist turning the potting shed from this months project club into a beach hut! And teamed it up with the Out at Sea Project club set from December (ref: 2300039ait worked perfectly!

How to make:

  • Trim the long side of an A5 piece of white card to 29cm and score lines at 3cm, 6cm, 10cm, 14cm, and 21.5cm fold it into a three stepper card.
  • Cover the first two steps and 2cm up the third one with cream parchment paper, Then cut 1cm from the long side of a A5 piece of blue parchment card and attach 1cm up on the third step, rip a 4 to 5cm strip of green paper add some green brush marks to look like tuffs of grass, attach over the bottom of the blue card.
  • Next stamp the lighthouse, lifebelt anchor and two sheds onto white card, one hat onto pink and one onto orange card Hat Set (ref: 0102055A).
  • Colour them all in and cut them out.
  • Die cut windblown fence ( Sizzlits Coastal Set 38-9692) two chairs and umbrellas (Beach Set #2, 38-9687), and two small drinks (an old Sizzix green thin cuts).
  • Attach the lighthouse to the blue card and stamp the three small birds in the sky.
  • Attach the bottom of the fence in the middle at the top of the middle step.
  • With a silver brad attach the lifebelt to the top of one of the sheds and attach to the left hand side of the fence towards the bottom of the step and the other shed to the right of the fence with the anchor resting up against it in the middle.
  • Then in whatever colour you fancy cut the umbrellas cut a chair cover to match (this has to be done freehand as it’s not part of the die set), attach the chairs, umbrellas, drinks and hats to the front of the card.

Project Club: Enchanted shed

Wow Spring has definitely arrived around here so much so I have even got to do a few jobs in the garden, but I didn't find any fairies!

This month's project club set has certainly got me looking forward to the long days in the garden! What a fab set to kick of Spring!

How to make: 
  • Stamp the shed in the middle towards the top of an 8 inch square white card in Memento Sweet Plum.
  • Colour the hinges, door knob and roof in toning Promarkers.
  • Distress the card with Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord Distress Inks and paint over the shed with Mod Podge Sparkle.
  • Next stamp the wheelbarrow onto lilac card and the wellies onto purple card in Memento Sweet Plum.
  • Then colour in the handles and wheel, cut them out and attach just below the shed, paint over with the Mod Podge Sparkle.
  • In a toning pigment ink stamp a solid fairy (Project Club March 2010 Issue 32) to each side of the shed roof and emboss with a holographic powder.
  • Then die cut (Shapeabilities Shadow Flowers S5-066) from lilac and purple card and distress with Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord Distress Inks,  mix the colours and glue down each side of the shed.
  • Die cut five wheat heads from pale lavender card (Sizzix Autumn Gatherings 657454) and distress with Milled Lavender Distress Inks, glue at the bottom of the card in the middle.

CRD: Cogs Away

And another!
Here is another card made using the new stamps by Crafty Roo Designs. This one was a real quick one to make!
