Ivory easel card

This card was also made using 'A Christmas Star’ stamp set (ref: 2400069a).

How to make:
Make a small square easel card from ivory pearl card.

Cut an extra piece of card the same size as the front of the card, stamp the large poinsettia to the top of the card using memento rich cocoa, following the shape of the stamp cut out the top of the card and edge in brown.

Cut a piece of ivory pearl card to fit under the stamped poinsettia, stamp a snowflake at each end in rich cocoa edge in brown, attach a piece of beige ribbon across the middle, and attach to the stamped piece of card.

Stamp "Season’s Greetings" onto ivory pearl card, trim down and mount onto beige pearl card with a narrow border, attach in the centre over the ribbon.

On the inside base of the card stamp a border using the two snowflakes in rich cocoa.

Stamp the two poinsettia flowers once onto beige pearl card and four times onto ivory pearl card, in rich cocoa, cut out and shape the two beige flowers, cut out the ivory flowers cutting away more petals from each piece, edge the ivory petals with gold ice stickles, when dry decoupage onto the beige flowers.

Attach the large flower over the stamped flower on the piece of card, attach the card to the front bottom half of the easel card.

Cut a piece of ivory pearl card to fit the small poinsettia on edge in brown and mount onto beige pearl card with a narrow border, attach above the snowflake border with foam tape to keep the easel card open.

Blue Poinsettia

For this card I have used the ‘A Christmas Star’ stamp set (ref: 2400069a.)

How to make:
Trim the front of a 14.8cm x 14.8cm square 2.5cm in from the top left hand fold across to 2.5cm up from the bottom right hand corner.

Cut two piece of blue card one to fit the front of the card (triangle shaped) and the other to fit the inside back of the card leaving a narrow white border, using memento Paris dusk stamp the taller of the two swirls from the main stamp, along each side twice with a snowflake in each corner on both pieces, distress to just over the borders with stormy sky edge with a dark blue glitter pen, attach the square to the inside back of the card. Attach a piece of blue ribbon across the bottom left hand corner of the shaped piece and attach to the front of the card.

Stamp the large poinsettia once onto white card cut out leaving a border around the whole stamp, distress the edges with stormy sky and edge with a dark blue glitter pen, attach to the front of the card so some of the stamped piece is over the cut off edge.

Stamp the flower head five times more onto white card, cut one full flower head and less leaves from the next four, distress the leaves on the full flower head, shape all five pieces, brush over the last four pieces with mod podge sparkle, when dry decoupage the five pieces onto the stamp one on the card, add some white pearls to the centre of the flower.

Stamp "Season’s Greetings" onto blue card cut out edge with a dark blue glitter pen and attach to the ribbon.

Carnation Vase

Again for this card I used ‘A Touch of … Winter’ stamp set (ref: 0701086a). However, all the flower stamps are now available on their own this one is called‘A Touch of … Carnation (January) stamp (ref 0701079a).
How to make:
Attach a piece of Christmas backing paper to a 12.5cm x 19.5cm piece of white card.

Stamp the carnation flower head fifteen times onto red card  and the leaves ten times onto green card, using memento tuxedo black, cut out and shape five full flower heads, cut out and shape less of the flower head from the next five, and even less from the last five, edge all the flower heads with red stickles leave to dry, cut out five of the flower stems and all of the leaves, decoupage the flowers and add the stems leave to dry.

Cut out a vase from toning card shape and 3D glue to the bottom of the card

Arrange and glue the flowers and leaves in the vase on the card

Thread seven gold beads onto green wire twist the ends together to form rings make three.

Twist gold wire around a thin knitting needle to make a spiral make three, add the beads and spirals to the flowers.

Stamp "Happy Christmas" to a 21cm piece of red ribbon using black versacraft ink iron to set the ink.

Cut a 19cm x 19.5cm piece of acetate score 2cm in on the two longer sides using the strong red double sided tape, fold and attach the acetate over the front of the card to form a dome.

Attach the ribbon on an angle to the bottom of the acetate onto the back of the card, if you wish you can now attach this to an A5 card or just back it with a 12.5cm x19.5cm piece of card and it will stand up.

Lilac New Year card

For this card I used ‘A Touch of … Winter’ stamp set (ref: 0701086a). All the flower stamps are now available on their own and this particular stamp called ‘A Touch of … Violet (February) ref: 0701083a.

How to make:
Randomly stamp "Happy New Year" onto a 16cm x 9.5cm piece of lilac card in memento grape jelly, distress around the edges with dusty concord, mount onto a 16.5cm x 10 cm piece of dark green.

Next stamp a background using the ‘Time Flourish’ stamp (ref: 0605039a) onto a 19cm x 19cm piece of lilac card using grape jelly distress as above, mount onto a 19.5cm x 19.5cm piece of dark green card.

Attach the "Happy New Year" card 1.5cm up from the bottom of the piece of card.

Attach two pieces of narrow lilac chiffon ribbon to the left hand side of the card about 3cm in from the side, and then tie a piece of ribbon to each piece.

Then attach to a 20cm x 20cm kraft card.

Stamp the violet three times onto white card in memento tuxedo black, colour  in one with the leaves. Then on the other two colour the flowers only. Cut out the whole of the one with the coloured leaves, then on the next two just the flower heads, shape all the pieces starting with the full flower head and leaves attach to the right hand side of the happy new year card with 3D glue and decoupage all the flower heads.

Project Club August - Filmstrip and Camera

I couldn't resist this card as the stamps are just so versatile!

On the front of an A5 white card in memento tuxedo black stamp you tube on an angle across the bottom left hand corner, with the iPhone just above it also on an angle, the laptop above the iPhone and facebook across the top left hand corner. Across the top and down the right hand side using stamps from Mr Sophisticated Set (24ooo26A), stamp the car next to facebook and the gentleman down the right hand side, the pocket watch under him, the feather and ink pot in the bottom right hand corner. Distress the right hand side of the card with vintage photo working two thirds across the top down to one third across the bottom, the left hand side is distressed in black soot. Die cut a filmstrip frames (Tim Holtz 656621) in black card, attach across the card 1.5cm in from the top left and bottom right hand corners. Stamp the camera once and the lens three times more onto silver pearl card in black Stazon, cut out the camera and mount it on to black card cut out leaving a narrow border, cut out the three lens cutting each one smaller, using 3Dglue or foam pads starting with the largest decoupage onto the camera, attach the camera about 5.5cm up on the right hand side of the card.

Project Club August - Lilac Laptop Card

For this card I wanted to focus on the laptop stamp and make it girly!

So, using memento grape jelly stamp facebook, you tube and the laptop in rows across a 7 inch x 7 inch piece of white card (starting with the middle row and have all three stamps on one acrylic block), distress in dusty concord and attach to 7.5 inch x 7.5 inch piece of purple card. Down the left hand side about 2.5cm in attach a piece of purple ribbon and white fancy wool or trim. At the bottom to the right hand side of the ribbon and trim attach a fabric flower with a black brad, centrally attach to an 8 inch square white card. Stamp the laptop onto purple card in memento tuxedo black, cut out and attach to the right hand side of the flower, 3D gloss the laptop.

Project Club August - Blue Headphones

For this card I used some of the stamps from the February 2012 Project Club. The music swirl was stamped onto white card in memento tuxedo black and just the swirl was cut out, stamp the headphones onto dark blue card in tuxedo black, cut out and shape them cut a little way down between the ear pieces, so the end of the music swirl will slot in glue in place on the back. Randomly stamp harmony, music, melody, when all words...., the two music symbols and any happy birthday, onto a 9.3cm x 20.3cm piece of light blue card in memento Paris dusk, distress the edges in faded jeans attach to a white DL card. Attach the headphones to the card with 3D glue and the music swirl flat to the card from the top of the headphones.

Project Club August - Bad Hair Day

For this card I used the ladies face part of the stamp from the Picture Puzzle stamp set (ref: 2400021A) in the bottom left hand corner of a small white card in memento tuxedo black. Cut out a short bob hairstyle from black card and shape it, cut out three black and two red 21cm x 0.5cm strips of paper curl around a thin knitting needle, make a slit in the hair where the parting will go and thread the five curls through, glue in place on the back.  Attach the hair around the face with 3D glue, distress around the card with fired brick, stamp the hair straighteners onto red card in tuxedo black and cut out, attach to the card holding a black curl with foam tape 3D gloss the hair straighteners.

Project Club August - Games Controller

Augusts' Project club stamps are fantastic for those teens and techies in our lives. They just cry out for bright vibrant colours.

To make this card:

Attach a piece of striped backing paper to the bottom half of a small square mustard card. Die cut a blue ric-rac trim (sizzix loops and rick-rack 656542), also in blue punch a 6.5cm scalloped edged circle and the words The Best from mustard card. Attach the ric-rac trim to the top of the striped paper, then attach a looped piece of blue ribbon to the back of the blue circle (so the ribbon is just a bit shorter than the base card), attach The Best to the front of the circle, then using foam pads attach blue circle to the left hand side of the card, and add a dot of blue glitter glue to each scallop. Stamp the games controller onto blue card in memento tuxedo black, cut out leaving a narrow border all around, now stamp it three times and the control knobs twice more onto silver pearl card in black stazon, colour in the top of the control knobs and buttons with gel pens, cut out the three silver ones cutting out less each time, cut out control knobs once and the base part only from the second one, shape each piece and starting with the blue piece attach to the bottom right hand corner of the card with 3D glue, decoupage the silver pieces on top.
