Nina Crafts June Project Club: Scrapbook Page

Well, what can I say this is my last Nina Crafts Project Club make to share with you! 

So before we get on with the crafting, I would like to take this opportunity to say huge thank you to you all, for crafting along with me for the past few years and for all the lovely comments you have left in that time! It has been my privilege to join you on your crafty makes, and I hope you have enjoyed this journey too!

But, as they say as one door closes another opens, so pop back soon to see what I am up to.........

This scrapbook page was so much fun to make and it also made me dig out some of those old (VERY old!!!!) photos.



How to Make
I liked the back ground on the flag card so I used it for an 8 inch scrapbook page making it look like sand,sea and sky.

I added the chair, beech hut, a bucket full of ice creams, the Sizzlits Coastal Set 38-9692 dies were also.

Nina Crafts June Project Club: Flags

I always think of flags and music when I am at the seaside, so this card is full of all my favorite seaside things.



How to Make
  • Using a music stencil with Tumbled Glass distress ink it across the front of an A5 white card three times on an angle.
  • In between this stamp “I do like to be beside the seaside”, and part of the beach hut in the top left and bottom right hand corners in Salty Ocean distress ink, distress over the card in Salty Ocean.
  • Stamp the ice cream cone seven times, the beach hut and extra life belt onto white card in memento Danube Blue.
  • Then stamp the ice cream cone, bucket and spade onto turquoise card and cut out to look like flags,  colour in and add broken lines around the flags for stitching.
  • Cut two thin pieces of turquoise card for flag poles attach the flags.
  • Colour in the beach hut, extra life belt and the seven cones only, cut them out.
  • Attach the cones to a thin piece of turquoise cord across the top of the card.
  • Shape the flags and attach the cone to the top left and the bucket to the bottom right hand corner with 3Dglue.
  • Trim down the beach hut to fit in the bottom left hand corner attach the life belt with foam pads.
  • Die cut two sea birds (Sizzlits Coastal Set 38-9692) add the standing one to the beach hut the other to the side of the cone flag.

Nina Crafts June Project Club: Ice cream anyone????

This ice cream card was s quick and easy to make perfect of a Birthday or Thank you card or even party invitations!



How to make
  • Cut a 51/2in x 51/2in square of white card, stamp four cones across the bottom in memento Rich Cocoa, stamp “You’re so sweet” Crafty Roo Designs three times across a 51/2in strip of pink card, cut a 6cm x 6cm piece of pink and a 5.5cm x 5.5cm piece of white stamp the cone onto the white as before.
  • Colour in all the cones and chocolate flakes.
  • Edge all pieces of card in Rich Cocoa.
  • Attach the pink strip above the cones.
  • Attach three pieces of pink ribbon/wool above the pink strip.
  • Centrally attach to a 6in x 6in square pink card, attach the white stamped square to the pink one and attach to the top right corner with foam pads.
  • Finally knot pieces of matching ribbon/wool in left hand corner and add glitter glue to lines on the ice cream.       

Nina Crafts June Project Club: Splish Splash

This card could easily be turned into a scrapbook page! 



How to Make
  • Cut a 51/2in x 51/2in square piece of eggshell card and distress over the top half in Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo.
  • Stamp the bucket and spade three times onto eggshell card in memento Rich Cocoa, stamp the ball twice and the bucket and spade once onto white card in Rich Cocoa, colour in the balls, white bucket only and cut them out, cut out the three eggshell buckets only on the back make them into sand castles distress as before.
  • Rip four pieces of turquoise card to look like waves, stamp splish splash along the ripped edge in memento Danube Blue, And then stamp splish and splash again onto turquoise card and cut out to look like tear drops, rough up the top edges of the waves and glue to the bottom half of the eggshell card.
  • Centrally attach to a 6in white square card.
  • Shape and 3Dglue a ball in the waves with splish and splash, shape and 3Dglue the three sandcastles, ball, bucket and spade on to the sand, add glitter glue to the waves.

Nina Craft June Project Club: Beach Huts

This fabulous Beach Hut stamp just reminds me of many a happy summer holiday by the sea....



How to make
  • Distress the front of an A5 white landscape card at the bottom in Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo and the top in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean to create a beach scene.
  • Stamp the beach hut three times onto white card with three extra life belts in Memento Rich Cocoa.
  • Colour in the beach huts with bright summer colours, cut out the huts and extra life belts.
  • Add toning brads for the door handles. 
  • Attach one beach hut just off centre  and trim the others to fit each side and attach.
  • Stamp the birds in sky and "enjoy the journey" (Tim Holtz) in Rich Cocoa in the middle at the bottom of the card, with Relax... and Take it slow....! (Crafty Roo Designs)stamped to the sides, attach the extra life belts.

Nina Crafts June Project Club: Relax

This months stamp set from Nina Crafts is a fabulous Summer set!

This card was a really quick one to make perfect for those last minute birthdays or a get well soon card!



How to make.
  • Stamp the deck chair in black onto the front of a 6in x6in square white card, colour in and distress the background in blue (salty ocean, tumbled glass) and green (peeled paint, mown lawn).
  • Emboss a branch and grass (free with a mag) onto white card, colour in, roughly cut out and lightly distress in green. 
  • Attach embossing to the card with glue.
  • Using Memento Danube Blue stamp “Relax.... and Take it slow...!”  (Crafty Roo Designs) onto the left hand side of the card.

Nina Craft Project Club: Dragonfly Candle

This candle turned out better than I thought it would I think it looks great! I hope you agree....




How to make:
  • Cut a piece of white tissue paper to fit around a white pillar candle, using Tuxedo Black stamp the dragonfly on an angle in the centre with the round swirl at one side and the heart swirl to the other side.
  • Colour in using pencil crayons.
  • Wrap around the candle and very gently heat until the tissue paper is attach to the candle. I used my heat gun and wrapped the candle in baking paper as to not over heat you want to heat the candle enough for the candle to melt to attach to the tissue paper but not enough to melt into a waxy mess.
  • Attach a piece of ribbon around the top and bottom.
  • Stamp twelve end flowers from the long border stamp using tuxedo black, colour in and cut, attach two groups of three to the top and bottom ribbons, add small black gems to the dragonfly’s body and to the ends of the swirls with the hearts.

Nina Crafts Project Club: More flowers

Well after I made the first flower card I just couldn't get how much the other dragonfly wings looked like Tulip petals! So here it is......


How to make:
  • Stamp the dragonfly once and the wings only three times onto cream card in Rich Cocoa
  • Colour the dragonfly in cream and tan, and the three wings in cream and yellow, cut out the dragonfly leaving a narrow border of cream around the body part only.
  • From the wings cut out two lower wings and one of the top ones for each Tulip.
  • Cut a piece of gold pearl paper 1cm small than an A5 cream card centrally attach to the card.
  • Cut a piece of cream card 1cm smaller than the gold paper and distress around the edges in Tea Dye. 
  • Cut a10.5cm x 15cm piece of cream card and distress in Peeled Paint, centrally attach to the piece of cream card, attach three pieces of green ribbon to the bottom of the card for the stems of the tulips and centrally attach over the gold paper.
  • Shape all the wings and 3D glue the round wings over the top of the ribbons with a pointed one to each side to make a Tulip, attach the dragonfly over the tallest tulip.

Nina Crafts Project Club: Happy 50th

This months stamp set make such quick and easy cards, this one took hardly any time at all but could be adapted to fit any occasion.



How to make:
  • Cut a piece of gold pearl paper 1 cm smaller than a small square cream card and a piece of cream card smaller than the gold paper.
  • Onto the cream card in Rich Cocoa stamp the heart swirl across the top left and bottom right corners, second generation stamp part of the swirl over the corner.
  • Cut a 3.5cm piece of cream card long enough to go across the card corner to corner, second generation stamp the heart swirl along it, mount onto gold pearl paper and attach across the card trim the corners.
  • Die cut Happy 50th (or your choice of greeting) and attach to the stamped strip.

Nina Crafts Project Club: Parchment Dragonfly

I used parchment on this card to give it a sense of movement and I am really pleased with how it turned out!



How to make:
  • Randomly stamp the heart swirl in London Fog onto an A5 white card.
  • Stamp the long border down a 2.7cm x 21cm piece of white card in Tuxedo Black, colour in the end flowers and the hearts.
  • Attach the strip 1cm in down the left side of a 6cm x 21cm piece of purple pearl card, centrally attach a piece of white chiffon ribbon to right.
  • Attach to the card down the left hand side leaving some white card showing.
  • Using Tuxedo Black stamp the dragonfly onto parchment colour in on the back using soft pencil crayons, cut out and shape the wings attach the body to the card, (I used a small amount of tacky glue).
  • Knot a piece of ribbon to the ribbon and glue a purple card candy to the knot, add 1mm black gems to the dragonfly’s body.

Nina Crafts Project Club: When is a dragonfly not a dragonfly?

When it's a flower of course!!!

When I saw the wings of the dragonfly all I could see was beautiful petals.....


How to make:
  • Onto a white 7 inch square card stamp the long border in the middle across the bottom and down the right hand side of the card in Tuxedo Black, very lightly distress over the card with Tumbled Glass ( I used a brush).
  • Onto a piece of turquoise card in Tuxedo Black stamp the top pair of the dragonfly’s wings six times and the lower ones once, also stamp one of the end flowers from the border stamp, colour in the flower and teardrop shape on the wings in a toning colour, cut out and shape the pieces.
  • Glue a piece of black cord 4cm up from the bottom right corner to 9cm off the top left corner.
  • Working in layers start by using three wings at the top of the cord keeping the bottom ends close together working lower down the stem each time.
  • Attach the flower to hide the ends.
  • Finally glue the two lower wings to the stem as leaves.

Nina Crafts Project Club: Borders Galore.

This months stamp set from Nina Crafts has an Art Deco theme, but as usual I got a little carried away.......

How to make: 
  • Stamp the long border in Tuxedo Black onto an 8.5cm x 19.5cm piece of white card, down from the top left corner and up from the bottom right corner.
  • Attach a piece of black ribbon across the top right hand corner.
  • Mount onto pink card then onto a white DL card.
  • Stamp the round swirl onto pink card in Tuxedo Black and stamp a sentiment in the middle, cut out and first mount onto white card then onto pink leaving narrow borders.
  • Attach to the bottom left of the card using 3D foam pads.
  • Tie a piece of black ribbon to the ribbon in the corner and add a crystal gem to the knot.
  • Finally add crystal glitter glue over the flowers.

Project Club:Christmas

This is the last card for this months Nina Crafts Project Club stamp set, and this time its all about Christmas!


How to make
This card is so quick and easy to make and it can be made any size you like.
  • Stamp a curved line of the single fern leaf across a piece of white card in London Fog.
  • Stamp a Christmas sentiment in the top right corner also in London Fog
  • Tear two pieces of white card to make hills glue in place, mount onto a gray/ blue piece of card then onto a white card, add a few gray lines on the hills and some silver glitter to the trees and hills.

Project Club: Dad

This stamp set is just so versatile I even made a a card for the blokes......


 How to make

  • From light blue parchment card cut a 20cm x 9cm piece.
  • Stamp the single fern leaf three times in the bottom left corner and twice onto spare parchment card in Rich Cocoa, randomly stamp a small butterfly (Tim Holtz CSS 25856 Flight of Fancy) over the rest of the card in Paris Dusk using the stamp twice before inking the stamp again, stamp the bird from the above set of stamps onto the parchment card in Paris Dusk.
  • Cut a 20cm x 21cm piece of medium blue card and score to make a 10cm x 21 cm DL card.
  • Stamp Dad using upper and lowercase alphabet stamps over stamp with the fern leaf in Paris Dusk, cut out the two fern leaves Dad and the bird colour the fern leaves and bird in a light tan.
  • Curve the “Have A Wonderful Day” when you put it on the block and stamp it 6cm down from the top of the parchment card in Paris Dusk.
  • Centrally attach to the front of the blue DL card, shape Dad and attach above the sentiment with 3D glue with the two fern leaves in the bottom left corner and the bird near the fern, glossy accent Dad and the bird.

Project Club: Ivory 50th

This card could be made for any birthday or anniversary, just going to show how versatile this months stamp set is from the Nina Crafts Project Club. 


 How to make

  • Cut a piece of gold pearl paper 8cm smaller than the front of an ivory square card and a piece of ivory card 8cm smaller than the gold paper, stamp the large fern/rose image 1.5 cm up from the bottom of the piece of ivory card in Rich Cocoa, stamp “Have A Wonderful Day” centrally in the space above in Rich Cocoa.
  • When this is dry using a Versamark stamp pad the single fern leaf to the top of the two roses and emboss in gold, onto a spare piece of ivory card stamp and emboss the three roses from the large image, colour the roses and little flowers yellow and the fern leaves you can see around the gold embossed ones in a light tan edge in the light tan.
  • Die cut a heart (Sizzix 658300 Basic Shapes) from ivory card and put through an embossing folder, die cut 50 from gold card.
  • Attach the gold square into the bottom left corner also attach the ivory square over this into the bottom left corner, shape and attach the roses so the point touches the bottom rose using 3d glue, glue the 50 to the top of the heart, cut out and shape the roses attach over the roses and heart using 3D glue.

Project Club: Have a wonderful day

This is another mothers day card made using this months Nina Crafts Project Club stamp set.


 How to make:

  • From an A4 piece of dark cream or buttermilk card cut a 20cm x 21cm piece and score to make a 10cm x 21cm DL card, cut two 6.5cm x 6.5cm and one 5.5cm piece from the remaining card.
  • Having the squares like a diamond, on one of the 6.5cm squares using Rich Cocoa stamp Have “A Wonderful Day” along the top left edge and “On Mothering Sunday” along the top right edge, with the roses in the middle, in the other 6.5cm one stamp the single fern leaf, in the last one stamp the “Thank You “ sentiment.
  • Distress all the edges in Tea Dye and edge in Rich Cocoa, attach the roses to the top of the DL card and the fern to the bottom, using 3Dfoam pads attach the sentiment to the centre of the card and add cinnamon stickles to each corner of the sentiment square.

Project Club: Jungle Fever

When I saw the fern leaves in this months Project Club Set from Nina Crafts, I saw jungle leaves and I just had to make this card.



How to make
  • Cut a piece of turquoise card 1cm smaller than the front of a square white card and stamp “Have A Wonderful Day” in Rich Cocoa in the top left corner and lightly distress the top half in Salty Ocean, centrally attach to the white card.
  • Cut a 9cm x 29.6cm piece of green card, using the large fern stamp making sure the leaves are to the top of the card, stamp across the piece of card using Olive Grove, roughly cut the fern leaves across the top of the card, distress in Peeled Paint and cut into two pieces to fit across the turquoise card and trim one down to 5.8cm.
  • Die cut an elephant and giraffe (Sizzix 658972) attach the giraffe behind the taller piece on the right hand side, attach to the card, attach the elephant behind the smaller piece on the left hand side attach to the card.

Project Club: Mum

Well this months Project Club from Nina Crafts is a cracker! It is just so versatile but I thought I would start off with a Mothers Day card.


How to Make
  • Cut apiece of lilac card 1cm smaller than the front of a square white card, randomly stamp the single fern leaf across the bottom using Memento Grape Jelly and distress around the edges in Dusty Concord.
  • Stamp the three roses and the “Thank You” sentiment onto white card in grape jelly.
  • Also stamp Mum (Upper and Lowercase Alphabet sets, old Dimension Stamps sets)  and over stamp with the fern leaf distress over the leaves only in Dusty Concord, cut out Mum and the roses and shape them.
  • Trim down the “Thank You” sentiment distress around the edges as above and mount onto lilac card.
  • Attach a piece of white ribbon 5.5cm up from the bottom of the lilac card, centrally attach the lilac card to the white card.
  • Glue the sentiment over the centre of the ribbon so the line “the way you.....” is across the centre of the ribbon, 3D glue the roses to the bottom left of the sentiment and Mum across the top of the card, add lilac glitter glue over the roses and Mum.

Project Club: New Year’s Eve Invite

This last Project Club Card for 2014!

So, I would like to wish you all a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year....




 How to Make:

  • Cut a piece of dark red card smaller than a square cream card and a cream piece just a bit smaller than the red, centrally attach the dark red piece to the cream card, onto the piece of cream card.
  • Stamp the celebration corner (Project Club May 2014 or Balloon Celebrations) in the top left and bottom corners using Memento Desert Sand randomly stamp the small ribbons on the card.
  • Stamp 12 to 3 and 6 to 9 parts of the clock face and two sets of hands onto pale gold pearl card using Rich Cocoa, trim the 6 to 9 part to fit the top right corner and the 12 to 3 part to fit the bottom left corner.
  • Stamp "From" onto the 6 to 9 and "To" on the 12 to 3 clock faces using Rich Cocoa colour in and attach the hands to the start and finish times then to the corners of the card.
  • Cut a 1.3cm x 18cm strip of pale gold pearl card and stamp New Year’s Eve Party along it in Rich Cocoa cut end to a point mount onto dark red card with a narrow border, attach from the top left to the bottom right corner, add a red gem to the points and clock hands.

Project Club: Clock Tower

Another New Year card, this one could easily adapted for a party invite...




How to Make: 

  • Stamp the swirl Happy New Year in Versamark and emboss with star dust embossing powder, down the right hand side of a dark blue A5 card (making sure to cover up to 9cm in from the edge).
  • Cut 21cm x 7.5cm piece of gray textured card cut one of the long sides to look like the end of a stone tower, with a gray promarker mark the card to look like stone edge the cut side, attach to the left of the card with the straight side to the fold.
  • Stamp part of the clock face (between the 11/12 and 6/7) and the hands onto a very pale blue pearl card using Memento Paris Dusk, colour in blue cut out and trim the clock face to 6.5cm across the middle glue on the hands, attach 3cm from the top of the clock tower.
  • Stamp the “Happy New Year” sentiment in Tuxedo black onto a piece of gray card trim and mount onto light blue card attach to the bottom of the clock tower.
  • Stamp the two small ribbons onto bright coloured card using Tuxedo Black cut out and glue to the dark blue part of the card.
